Guys, sadly kids and family life have taken the hardcore edge of my habit, but with my black A4 being absolutely caked in months of crap, ive decided to use the lighter evenings to do a panel a day.

But just wondering whats a hard wearing wax/sealant nowadays, the plan is to wash/clay/3m fastcut the car, then prob a PB glaze over the top of that. I have a tub of FK1000P as well as Colly 915 to use as a LSP. Is that still a good combo, or is it worth dropping a few quid on some sealant? Im a bit out of touch with whats hot at the moment. I want long lasting protection, i just dont have the time to polish and wax every few weeks now.

FK1000p is still, in my opinion, one of the longest lasting sealants available. If you want wax, Collinite 476s is still the undefeated champion at longevity if you apply 2/3 layers.

Hi Guys,

What's the recommended product for using on a neglected exhaust tip? I tried an ancient can of T-Cut but it's no good.

Cheers,

Autoglym works for me, been using it on exhaust tips since I owned my Capri back in the early nineties.

I've heard it good for the paintwork too....

Those? Got my last lambswool mitts from halfords and they were awful, take it these aren't the same?

No, I use http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_776681_langId_-1_categoryId_165609

Personally, I won't bother with lambswool ever again. I had one a couple of years ago and it basically disintegrated after about a year. Every wash it would leave bits of wool on any sharp edges of the car. And this was a Meguiars one, too. The microfibre mitt is almost as soft, much more durable and absorbs a ton of water.

Does the above look like a good selection gents? I'm not sure I need all of it but that's my best guess!

I was tempted to just go and take advantage of Halfords 3 for 2 offer and get some meguiars gold class shampoo, autoglym SRP and something else but I could do with some help!

anyone had any experience with the autoglym tar remover?. just removed some decals off a fabia and its left quite a bit of glue behind that I need to remove
