Thanks, it certainly has good reviews on Amazon. I've ordered the Vinyl and Rubber Care too.

Most of the reviews says to hose off after agitation. Are there any dangers to this? I assume there's a reason you prefer to wipe off?

Just use the same APC you use everywhere else on your car.

Cover up any exposed terminals and the alternator and rinse it all with water, use the APC/whatever clean, let it dwell then agitate, then rinse off and dry the bay with MF towels (and compressed air if you have any! Leaf blowers work too).

Check your local halfords I think the 3 for 2 is on and they stock slot of AG stuff

Hosing off works well too - my engine bay is too tight and with too many electricals everywhere to do this. Tbh a microfibre cloth does a better job of lifting the grime where you can get it.

Has anyone tried a superhydrophobic coating for their car yet or are these so far only made for industrial use? Must look mental driving in heavy rain with a seemingly dry car :D

Anyone got any advice on cleaning engine bays?

Brings back memories of my old E36 328.

Used Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner. Then 303 Aerospace Protectant to dress it up.

Any tips for cleaning a water stain from a seat? Either the seal around the door has rain leak or the garage spilt something while it was in for repair. Haven't worked out which yet.

Tried some car seat cleaner from Asda which hasn't budged it, product was crap and the foam just vanished in to the seat.

Might start tarting mine up, I must have spent a fortune lately on cleaning products!

I did the roof earlier, having used quite a few soft top cleaners, I do find the Autoglym set does seem better than the wonder wheels and other sets I've tried on other cabs..

I did an ok job with cloth alone, but a brush is definitely required to get into those "tighter" areas ;)

Magic Eraser on wiper blades takes off lots of crap that settles into the rubber pores and restores most of the "new blade" wipe performance.

That Magic eraser is basically an abrasive so by using that you'll only score the rubber and create even more spaces for dirt to collect.

Only used lightly but yup I know this! I have a brand new wiper blade set so wanted to see how it affected wiping performance on the old pair. If it gives old wiper blades a few more months of life then that's a good thing. The worn rubber will have been lightly levelled away by the eraser revealing fresh rubber.

Lovely colour. :)

Cheers :D With the fiesta being white this time around I wanted a colour, originally I was going to go for the blue which whilst is a cracking colour when I saw this in the sunlight I just had to have it. It becomes a bronze in the right light.

And whilst it's a terrible photo as my phone sucks in low light, getting some decent beading :D
