Snap. Not long bought a K4 and a snow foam lance. Really pleased with the pressure washer (although the hose could be a bit longer).

I think the main point with snow foaming is obviously it's not meant to clean the car 100%, but if you just wash with a mitt immediately you are far more likely to be causing swirls etc by the stuff that's stuck on your car. Snow foaming is likely to remove it, especially with a going over with the pressure washer before washing.

Yeah, please never use a mitt after using foam.

Snow foaming is meant to remove loose dirt and soften stubborn dirt. If you don't wash your car properly after snow foaming, you'll be rubbish dirt around your paint

Surely you mean clay is optional too? Fair play if you're claying your car every time, but as soon as you clay your car you need to seal it as well so it's a big ol' job :D

That was late in the afternoon and quite cool. Didn't dry out at all though only left it about 10 mins as I was in a bit of a rush. First impressions were positive and I was impressed with the clean. Will need to give a few more tries to see how it compared to chemical brothers honeydew.

Picked up the Karcher K4 today, won't fit in the boot, and on the passenger seat it sets off the seatbelt warning :p

Box from CleanYouCar arrived this morning to stock up on a few bits - 5 litres of Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels, another bottle of Poorboys Natural Look Dressing, a bunch of new, softer microfibre towels to replace the current stock which are a bit tired - and I finally relented and spent money on a decent wheel cleaning brush.

Given the lighter evenings, I was hoping to be able to finish work today at 5 then immediately (I work from home) have a couple of hours to give the car a good and much needed wash. Unfortunately, it's bloody windy at the moment - nothing more annoying than rinsing a car down only to have the water blown straight back at you. And it's not exactly warm, so wind chill on wet hands could be excruciating. Might have to wait until the weekend.

Bought some Auto Finesse Iron Out to try, have used Iron X, and Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel before so thought I'd give this a go and see which one I prefer. Bought some Chemical Guys Matte Autowash and Jet Seal to try on my bike, to see if that can give better results with it having matt paintwork. Had to go out and buy a cheap vacuum for the car from B&Q as the cordless dyson has always been pretty useless for the car, seemed to do a good enough job on both of out cars for £40, will do wet vacuuming as well, so might give the interiors a good wet clean later in the summer.

I've tried Sonax Wheel cleaner, Iron-X and Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel and I think Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel is the best of these 3.

Why Karcher and not Nilfisk?

This got the best reviews on google really and I like the holders for the gun to keep it neat.

Ended up cleaning the car in the end. Wind dropped so it was bearable. It started raining while I washing - which makes me look like a nutter to my neighbours, but means I don't have to bother drying the car, so, a win in my opinion :D

I'm actually quite pleased with the wheel brush. Previously never bothered with them, as they all seem so expensive. I got the EZ Detail brush which was £20, and it does actually make it a lot easier and quicker to do the wheels, and it reaches through the spokes easily to the inner barrel of the wheel...I'll admit I'm usually very lazy when it comes to doing wheels, so tend to just clean the outer face of them and have done with it.
