hello, I'm wondering if you can help? I just got a bottle of ONR to act as a water softener in the 2 wash bucket. How much of this do i need to use per 10ltr bucket? i have seen that 30ml is t one used but it does not mention how many litres.

30ml per 10L water.

nor water spots!!

I'll see if I can get some better photos at lunch time. You might think I'm being pedantic and worrying over nothing. How picky should I be?

Does seem a lot, but I thought I was getting a good deal at the time as reading online people are paying much more.....but maybe not a good deal afterall. He came across like he was doing me a favour, god knows what he's charging others. Guess if you can afford a bentley, what's £500!

I did read that gtechniq C2V3 is prone to water spotting, maybe that's it......but some normal ones are still present in the gaps between panels.

My invoice is something like

Prep Stage £250
Crystal Serum Light with v2 £180
C5 alloy face only £55
Clear Vision on the glass £40

and then the 4hrs additional work for water spots £120

£645 total

Like I said, if it was perfect I'd be happier

£40 for clear vision that’ll wear off in a week. Oh man oh man. I’ll stop now :p

4 hours for water spots!!! I mean, 30 mins tops would do the job and a darn good one at that.

Surely this place isn’t highly rated that you took it to?

To be fair I think folks are dismissing how bad water spots can be. If you are in a hard water area like I am, and you wash in summer sun then they are going to bake on hard and the only way to get them off is to get the machine polisher out, certainly will not simply wipe off. Having said that, if it was being mopped anyway prior to coating then it's an insult to charge extra for something already being done.

Yeah, I think I was just expecting perfection......I mean it was over £500

Perhaps when I first wash it after the 3-4 week curing period I'll be a bit happier

You need to put up some much higher quality pictures and ideally in lighting that shows any/all defects. I've spent 2-3 days detailing cars before and can tell you, it's seriously time consuming even getting things near perfect, let alone 100% imperfection free.

You say you rinsed it before taking it over? You mean after the work was done and so had to take it back?

No before I first took it over, that's what caused the water spots in the first place

koch chemie fse :)

Well I've paid him. Just want to put this behind me now. I originally agreed £525 (although knowing what I know now, and seeing the end result even that's too much), but obviously he hit me with another £120 at collection time which really stings, as much as the spoiler swirls and left over marks.

I'll put this down to experience (like the plumber, joiner, builder and painter) yet again, wait till next payday and get some decent cleaning products to maintain/improve myself.

There is a saying isn't there....you get what you pay for....well not where I live! (the place where four builders quoted £900 to lay 8 patio slabs). No, not kidding!

You want one extra laugh over this? he got his wife to do the glass
