Anyone else used turtlewax's HS Hyper foam wheel cleaner, I have to say its really impressed me, just picked a bottle up in a high street store not expecting to much but it does really shift a lot of dirt and gets rid of iron particles at the same time even tried so fallout remover afterwards to see if it really did get the iron off and it does. paid like £10 a for a bottle of it and because it foams up should last a good amount of time to

Had to get all the horrible salt off the cars. Wanted to try out my new stubby gun and MJJC canon too.

Surfex HD as prewash on wheels and lower parts, AD Britegel for the wheels, BH Touchless, AD Bananagloss shampoo, Carpro Hydro2 lite for protection/shine and tyres dressed with CarPro Perl diluted 1:1.

Assuming that your roads are anything like ours at the moment then bothering to put tyre dressing on shows some commitment!

I ran the car through the car wash on Friday morning as it was properly crusty after an 800 mile work trip last week and by the time I drove it the 13 miles home Friday afternoon it was already covered in salty grime!

Definitely need to do mine once this cold patch is done, but it is a losing battle at the moment with how heavily they are salting.

I'd like to wash mine to get the salt off and enjoy it being shiny whilst it's nice and sunny in the day!, but with the temp below zero most of the time it's impossible. If the outside pipes aren't frozen (they most likely are) the water would just freeze, and turn our drive and road into an ice rink. Due to this it's staying grubby until the weekend when hopefully it will have started to warm up a bit.

Something like Bilt Hamber touch less is great for maintenance this time of year.

You can use it with a garden sprayer and then power wash it off. Using a garden sprayer instead of a foam cannon will allow you to make it more concentrated without it costing the earth :-)

I just wanted to try it out as I'd just got it TBH, normally wouldn't bother when it's like this.

Car cleaning stuff:

Have always used snow foam but after watching a couple of videos about switching to a sprayer + BH touch-less, I thought I’d give it a go.

Really impressed by the cleaning power + economy. Per 8L tank, I put in less BH stuff compared to snow foam cannon, and it’ll last me 4x as long.

Touch less: very good, appears to be better than auto foam which is also amazing.

Wheel + tyre cleaner: spray bottle is cool - the foam clings to the wheels better than a runny liquid. I like the dual purpose action of it, and seemed to refresh the tyres nicely. Auto wheel is a better alloy cleaner though.

Touch on: not as good beading as liquid crystal but SIGNIFICANTLY easier to apply. One sachet in a 1L jug with water being sucked into the power washer on low pressure (mix) mode. Spray off. Dry. Done.

Surfex HD: really good as an APC with the foaming pump sprayer. Good wheel coverage with very little product used.

Will probably pick up BH Touchless when my current snow foam runs out. Have used auto foam before and had good results from it - currently have WaxPlanet 8 Below which is about the same - maybe a little better. But Touchless seems to be better still, so looking forward to giving it a go. Were you not tempted to pick up some sachets of touch on? I've got a similar product from Carbon collective and it's a nice thing to have available if you want to give it a quick top up but haven't got much time.

The small foam sprayers give a good foam for the wheels, my preferred way ofA applying wheel cleaner. Have tried it with a snow foam lance, and whilst it's a little better and goes a little further I find it a bit of a faff. the only thing with (all) the pump sprayers is the amount of use you get for the amount of pumps you need to give it! I recently drilled a hole in mine and installed a pneumatic tyre valve that I can use with my air compressor. Much better but only useful if you've got an air compressor within reach! :p

I think the '+' versions of those iK foamers have these already?

So had some work done to my car (CV joint and spring replaced on front driver side wheel)

The garage was not one I've used before and won't again because they didn't put the right wiper back on properly. It sat too high so when it was used the wiper blades would come off the glass and rub against the bodywork.

On the day I picked it up I had to use my car for family stuff so didn't have to to get them to fix it. So I was kinda stuck in the rain therefore had to use the wipers. Now I've got these scuff marks on the body work on driver side column.

I was thinking of getting some compound and buffering it out as when I run my finger over it I can't feel anything it's smooth.

Is that a good idea for this kind of scuff mark?

Unfortunately the Mcguuires Ultimate Compound hasn't helped much. It looks the same tbh.

Anytjing else I can try? When I run my finger over it I can't feel anything so surley it's just on the surface
