Pictures definitely required, sounds lovely!
I'll get some. I didn't notice until the following day and had to get to an appointment 60 miles away... in the rain. It hasn't been clean enough to see it since. Where there is a crease line running the length of the car its actually taken the paint away down to the primer.

i wish i took before and after photos

3 hours this morning on the car (more to do at some point!)

Engine bay cleaned - used the no hose method, sprayed under the hood with Surfex HD, then scrubbed it, then sprayed water over it to wash a lot of it away

then i sprayed entire engine bay area with Surfex HD
Gave it a good scrub then sprayed water over it all to wash dilute down, then grabbed a micro fibre cloth to dry
switched engine on and left running for 30 mins to hot and dry the rest off

Then i did the same pretty much on the rear end of the car, so all around the boot area where the hinges are etc

Then i spent time using Car Pro Eraser and a toothbrush to clean around all the black plastic and rubber seals around the boot area, back of the car and also the sides of the car and used Meguiars Ultimate Black to make them look fantastic again, what a transformation !
just the front to do now

went out to put screen wash in, and when i looked at the Engine bay is not very clean anymore!

white residue all over it, I'm guessing its from the surfex HD

i'll have to get my carpro Eraser all over it now and then protect it (i didn't put protect it last time )

Bee poo!!!! Anyone else get little orangey yellow blobs all over their car? At first I thought it might be plant pollen or sap but there's nothing plant wise near where our cars are parked.

Googled it and it appears it's Bee poo/vomit!!! How bad is it for paint if left until the next wash day for the car? At this rate I'll be washing my car every day to remove it!!!

Meanwhile, at the other end of the car cleaning scale... I ran my company car through an automated car wash and the machine mistook my passenger door for an alloy wheel and plunged the super abrasive wheel brush into the door leaving a perfectly circular patch of scratches. Hurrah! *facepalm emoji*

this came up on my phone, and thought of you

Menzerna - Great Compound/Polishes and don’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know a bloke who for over 20 years has machine polished cars in his garage every weekend, runs it through Facebook on the side and is fully booked up most weekends.

He used Menzerna on my Golf which was a swirly mess when I bought it, with a few deeper scratches.. absolutely transformed it.

It was finished off with Menzerna Powerlock and looked absolutely fantastic.

Washed mine today - Valet Pro Billberry in the Ik Foamer worked really well, gave some pink foam if that’s your kind of thing too.

Thunderstorm just as I finished drying the car off, although it’s brightened up now so re-dried and finished off with Autobrite Project 64.

Dressed the tyres with Autobrite - Classy, doubt it will last well in wet weather but one to rejuvenate plastic trim/rubber during the warm, dry periods we have upcoming (Hopefully).

Working my way through the Autobrite Sample Kit :D

Used Just The Tonic on some small tar spots, seemed to do what is intended as after a pressure wash I can’t see anything left behind.

Wasted effort since the forecast is poor all week, but I enjoy the process.

Yeah they're nice to work with and don't go dusty.
