Ban is until December I heard

My foam sponge does a great job
you shouldn't use a sponge to clean your car

Except this one.

But it's best to use it with optimum no rinse
If you buy the mkees version, use microfiber cloths

Look up Ivan Lacroix

He's a genius , he invented the onr and rinseless washing
Aside from my wheels I haven't used a sponge on a car for nearly 12 years. After passing my driving test I started out with a sponge, but pretty quickly moved to lambswool wash mitts and now microfibre mitts because I got fed up of lambswool mitts falling apart rapidly. I've seen people using two buckets with ONR in both and apparently ONR will drag dirt particals to the bottom of the buckets, so that sounds fairly safe, and I use two buckets and grit guards now so that side of things would be fairly natural to me. Not rinsing a panel first so that the panel is wet before I touch it is what would feel pretty alien to me unless I lightly go over each panel with ONR in a spray bottle before wiping over the panel, but I imagine that is a good way to go through a lot of product. No doubt I'm over-thinking it all!

I have watched the comparison that Forensic Detailing Channel did between ONR and McKee's a couple of times and I can see that for lighter cleaning work they didn't scratch the paint on his E36. ONR is currently in my basket on in2detailing with some other products I wanted to try along with re-ordering Gyeon Wet Coat as I want to have another go at using that with the spray, wipe, rinse application method.

Any half decent APC should be fine on rubber mats

Might need a slightly higher concentration than usual to initially remove whatever they've put on it
Reminds me of when I bought my current car - had it delivered from the dealer and they had sprayed wax all over the shop. I wondered what these hard shiny drips were on the glovebox and speaker grilles, turns out if you're that excessive with it wax can dry quite crystalline.

Anyone tried a pump sprayer vs a foam lance? I've just bought some BH Touchless and was wondering it works as well via a pump? The lance uses shedloads of foam.

It'll work fine. I have in the past used it in a 1.5L pump sprayer and a 5l lance sprayer and it seems to work well. I've since gone back to a snowfoam lance though for speed.

Video used auto-foam but im sure applies to touchless too. I bought some touchless a few weeks back but haven't gotten around to washing it yet. Plan on using it in a pump sprayer as a prewash so loosen all the crud before I jet wash it off and then proceed with a contact wash.

Just come across Carbon Collective - Hybrid Coating.

Seems decent value considering how economical it is, 10 to 1 Dilution Ratio.

£24.99 for 500ML essentially making 5Ltr of Spray on, Spray off sealant.

If it’s even 50% as good as Gyeon Wet Coat I wouldn’t be upset with the cost per wash being so low.

I’ve moved exclusively to a pump sprayer.

More effective cleaning, due to better accuracy of PIR (a measure of how diluted the product is when on your car) and it’s cheaper

I need about 600ml of product in a 1L snow foam lance. This would last 2 washes.

I now put 320ml into 8L pump sprayer, and this does me 4 washes at least, more like 5.

My car seems to have old sap marks /stains from old leaves petals etc today I have

Pressure washed
Snow foamed
Pressure washed again
2 bucket washed
Used tar remover
Used a clay bar

And none seem to have quite removed the marks, does anyone have any recommendations?

I would add a photo but couldn't get any good photos also the marks could only be see at certain angles(?) and also my imgur account isn't working...

snowfoam with added Surfex HD (Degreaser) or citrus pre wash to it

don't rinse first, straight onto a dry car

Surprised the clay bar didn’t remove

Clay using the wash as the lube.

I tend to go for AG super resin polish for stuff like that.

Yeah this is what I was doing but didn't seem to remove marks (could only see them at certain angles)

As above, surprised clay bar didn't remove it.
Autoglym tar remover or similar, or worst case even WD40 is worth a go for anything sticky

I actually used an autoglym tar remover on the whole bonnet and let it haze/then rubbed it off but it still didn't remove the marks at certain angles

Looks like a standard polish? I'm going to retry cleaning it and using the clay bar then using polish (poorboys black hole) to see if they buff out but im not hopeful..
