GT-R 'Egoist'

The entire cabin is suede, carbon and Seton leather from Germany. No less than 15 hides are used to cover the interior and are from cattle raised better fed than other cattle so their hides are better and bigger in a controlled environment and free from imperfections. It is the same leather used by premium car makers.

The steering emblem is given to one master craftsman from the birthplace of the GT-R and that craftsman is appointed their title by the Government only and the craft is only passed down as an ancient art. It takes several days just to paint the emblem!

Upon ordering an Egoist, the buyer has his or her dimensions taken and sent to the factory where they tailor the seating to that person.

Bose are then sent tailoring details so the sound system can be fine tuned to the buyer as well. They even customise the subwoofers in the back seats so they output just the right bass based on the buyer's ears!

No 2 Egoist cars are likely to be alike as there are over 85 combinations of colour and stitching available.

The cupholders are also leather.

The paddle shifters are Magnesium.

JUST LOOK AT THOSE SEATS!!!!

Just proves money can't buy taste, that's awful and inappropriate for the car, and seriously that's the biggest load of advertising BS I've heard in a while, does he do samurai swords at the weekend.

:confused::confused:

It's an ultra rare car, which is never likely to be the same as any other Egoist sold, the name alone kind of tells you the kind of exclusivity and effort that goes into its build from start to finish.

What is inappropriate about the emblem exactly?

The title given to the one guy who's job is to make it is a Takumi which means Artisan.

Some reports say that the colour of the emblem changes over time before settling on its final shade, pretty impressive work imo.

I think you're confusing Western artists with traditional Japanese artists who's skills are an asset to their nation and passed down selectively.

What? See now you're exactly the reason why some people wander into motors, take one look and wander back out again.

I have no idea what your problem is exactly!

FYI: The info I posted was paraphrased from multiple motoring sources as it was quite hard to find details all in one place but none of those sources were from anything Nissan.

Indeed, STUPID BAKA GAIJIN, can you not see how superior Japan nation is?!

Sorry mrk, that is really really daft, I especially laughed at the nonsense about tuning the BOSE stereo to an individual. It's advertising BS plain and simple.

Seems a bit harsh to mrk (am I really posting in motors?!), it's a decent enough amount of effort in a damn nice car!

I'd never get it purely because I'm a messy *******, and also the sort of chap that would have his keys in it and scratch it the first time I sat down haha.

Meh, some people just don't appreciate attention to detail which is lacking in almost all but very few cars these days :)

For those interested, the vaguely translated captions to chapter 8 (or the full length part 2) of the video set is here:

http://www.youtu.be/watch?v=bDqIZmygJPg
Remember to turn on Caption transcribe to English...

Oh and a thread on it here:
http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index...oist-is-here-official-launch-day-with-photos/

Edit* Mizuno talks about the sound system about 4mins in, the rest of the video captions are very very very hilarious but you get the gist of what's being said anyway.

I also think it’s downright careless to call it marketing BS - a project that Mizuno oversees - This is a man that’s anything but careless!

Love that Weismann. Want.

The call that confuses me is - "but it's rare!" Rare does not make a car attractive, hell all the cobbled together, cut up, glued together boy racer cars are individual in one way or another but they aren't attractive and IMO not porn worthy. Most of the BMWs in here are just meh looking business cars, they don't make any sense to me at all when there are so many really stunning cars out there.

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder but some of them don't make any sense at all. How you place a M5 next to a XJ220 or a Fezza Enzo or a Lambo and go - yep same class, same level of want...? Do not understand...
