The Carling Cup Semi-Final Second Leg 24/25 January *** Spoilers ***

Cracking cup tie, really enjoyable game of football (result helped of course :D). lol @ the city fans!

How good was Bellamy though?! great signing. I don't remember him being this effective first time round for us.

Still not sure what Downing and Henderson bring to the team at present though, but thats a different thread.

Bring on the Mancs in the FA and roll on the 26th Feb!

Does anyone know if cup final ticket allocation is done in a similar way to normal match ticket allocation?

Not confirmed but I'm pretty sure they'll be allocated based on CC attendance. Given that we've been away from home in all the ties before the semi, anybody that was at the game yesterday will have a great chance for a ticket for the final.

You best not be getting my hopes up.

I love those two men.

It's always been based on attendance of the cup in question in the past so I assume it will be the same. And given that we've been away from home up until yesterday and City got ~6,000 tickets for last nights game, I very much doubt there's much more than 40,000 unique fans that have been to a CC game this season.

We're getting 31,000 tickets for the final so if you had a ticket last night, you should be ok for the final.

Got to get another two tickets by other means as well then, how many tickets go to the sponsors and corporate sort of people?

Do you mean how many of our 31,000 or how much of the 90,000?

I'd guess at least 1,000 of our tickets will be given to players, sponsors and so on. And then you'll have club wembley tickets and the FA's sponsors etc making up the other 28,000 tickets.

I so want to try and go. When are they on general sale?

Yes I know my chances are very very slim.

They won't go on general sale. They'll first be available to people that have attended more than 1 CC game and then those that attended yesterday. If there's anything left over (which there probably won't be), it will then be supporters that have attended a number of league games (possibly preference to season ticket holders too).

That's not confirmed of course but that's how they sold tickets for the semi and how they've sold tickets for all cup competitions in recent years.

You just confirmed what I was thinking. :(

Damn it, I need to get to more league games.

To be fair, that's a much better ratio than that of previous years and different competitions. Over 2/3's of the capacity will go to the two clubs. There's been CL finals where near enough half the stadium has been sold by UEFA to neutrals, sponsors and so on.

I'm not exactly sure how many club wembley tickets there are but I'd be surprised if there's less than 10,000, which would leave the FA with just 18,000 tickets for themselves.

Wait, Wembley is 90'000 and Liverpool are getting 31'000 tickets?

Its higher then last years FA cup isnt it? they only had 25,000 per team..
Or maybe it was the UCL? either way, some event down there recently only had half the tickets for fans pretty much, with the other half going to sponsors =/

As expected, the club have confirmed that tickets for the final will be sold as followed:

Tickets will first be sold to anybody that attended 2 CC games and then to season ticket holders that attended 1 CC game. Tickets for anybody that meets those requirements are guaranteed. Then whatever is left over will be sold via a ballot to anybody that attended 1 CC game.
