Hi guys, does anyone know where I can find some CIsco ISO images for the GNS3, I've searched the web but I can't seem to find any.

cheers

I got mine all from work (collegue) and our cisco website login.

They are available on the interweb if you search, you may need to look in the darker places

I managed to get a few router images and a decent Cisco ASA image for firewall labbing from the internet. Im sure there are others.

Thanks for the reply bud, I'll keep looking otherwise I'll have to bite the bullet and buy some.

cheers

Had my first ever Cisco exam this morning (ICND1) just missing the pass mark by 2-3 questions, unfortunatly done well in areas and got caught up on around question 25, there was a few lengthy questions after also.

I underestimated the time and in the end I was on question 35 and had to rush through to 50. Had no idea that some questions had 4 embedded questions. But now I know the format of the exam.

Subnetting was quite easy so good on that point, just a few areas I need to scratch up on as were areas I knew, but I think I was wasting a lot of time where I shouldnt have been.

Does anyone know any links that are good for previous exam questions examples, 9tut, I know braindumping isnt the best method, but practise tests at home I was getting 900ish, I think it was the combination of being caught out on the format of the exam (multiple questions embedded inside one question) and some other stuff.

Dont want to let the time go now before rebooking

Passed my ICND1 exam this morning, 973 out of 1000 :) . Part of me is annoyed that I didn't do the one full CCNA exam but i'm quite glad I've done it the two part ICND way.

Operation of IP data network - 100%
LAN Switching Technologies - 82% which is odd as that is (or was) my strong point.
IP address IPV6 & IPV4 - 100%
IP Routing Technologies - 100%
IP Sefvices -100%
Network Device Security - 100%
Troubleshooting - 100%

I'm quite fortunate with that I work on Cisco routers, switches, ASA's and PBX's almost every day. Subnetting is my downfall though and it was only those questions that took me some time to complete.

Well after 6 plus years of being a network engineer iv finally got off my lazy ass and passed icnd 1 :)

Icnd 2 studying early next year

How quick do people tend to bash out icnd 2? Or do you have a break. I will start casually watching the vids end of this year. Then get in to hard study mode early next year

I've already started revising for the ICND2, once I've got my CCNA qualifications I can do a few Microsoft or VMware exams. When I have to renew the CCNA i'll be hoping to progress to CCNP level.

Cool, so your waiting until it is close to renewal then renew by doing the CCNP, seems like a good idea :), not decided yet may do the same.

I started ICND2 already :p although taking my time up until the end of the year, seeing as I was originally planning to start after xmas.

I passed my exam yesterday, scored 986 and got 100% in all categories apart from Lan Switching which was 91%.

The CCNP exams change shortly and I don't have time to learn the modules before 30th Jan (last day to take the exams) although it is my day job :D

Stated my ICND2 course today, doing it remotely with QA. Would have much rather of gone to London or Leeds to do it though.

Hoping to get the exam booked shortly before year end is up for a pay rise :D

Well done all those passing exams, nice to see people coming on board :) Again as always, let me know if you need help with anything.

Doing my CCDP (ARCH) exam at the moment, need to re-cert by May so makes sense.
