The Chaos Engine

There are no words for how insanely awesome this is.

I will buy this with all my money. Every last penny.

Extra life! Foodfoofoofoofood, food, special power!

Hhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng.

:Edit: I used to play this co-op with my Dad, he was always Navvy and I had to choose from the dross that were left... normally Brigand IIRC, who was really just a baby Navvy. The rest were utter panties.

Errrm. It looks pretty much exactly the same as the AGA version.

I'll stick with the CD32 version personally, until this comes on sale for a bargain price.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to do much with the graphics. Bitmap Brothers games always had quite distinctive artwork, and it would be quite difficult to modernise them to much without the game losing something in my opinion. Same with the sound effects, in many ways the music / sound effects made the game.

I think in the video they mention online co-op as well as local and achievements so there are at least a few additions over the original.

I was quite happy to pay the £6.29 simply for the convenience of being able to launch and play it from Steam.

I'm also looking forward to the Superfrog HD PC release, and it'll no doubt be sold for a similar price. I already have it on the PS3, but I'll happily buy it again for PC :D

Loved the game on Amiga but was always a little disappointed that they pulled the 3rd player/bot slot that was in the original demo. Was probably too OP and difficult to balance the AI to play well.

Only just noticed this thread :) (I am the Producer on this for Mastertronic)

I know some people would have liked a proper HD remake, but we really wanted to just bring the original game back first to see if people still loved it. So many people seem to run it though an emulator or even dig out their Amiga that it seemed like a good idea to bring it back so you didn't need to anymore.

Still hard as nails though!
