The Class System

Class is about culture. If you read a tabloid, watch itv, and have a poor diet you are most likely working class.

:p (but also semi-serious)

Having heard all about kate middleton being the middle class commoner through the media today.
Say for example i won the lotto jackpot tonight does that mean i go up a rank to middle class from a working class man,for me the common person i only see is the dossers you see on jeremy kyle:eek::confused:

Commoner = anyone without a title (ie lord etc)

The prime minister for example is a commoner.

No. But if you worked for that money, i.e successful business man then yea I will expect to see you on TV. Secondly, I think there is a class lower than "lower class" I studied it in sociology - I cant remember what it is though.

underclass?

better known as a "brummie".

She is far from what I would understand as middle class she is (very) upper middle class. You don't end up in the college and university she went to coming from a normal background unless you are incredibly lucky.

Fabulous media stunt pulled off very well to keep the anti monarchists at bay really, keep saying down to earth and normal people and every one will agree, it's so transparent, do you really think the 2nd in line to the throne and his wife are 'normal' people.

I'm all for the Royals and what they bring but this is just cringe worthy.

I was born into the working class, but married into the upper middle class.

Where that officially leaves me I have no idea, but I would define myself as working class, I know some ([TW]Fox) say that I am now middle class.

No playing the lottery is working class to begin with, winning from it would only make things worse.
