The recipe I use (my kids favourite) is
Marinate the chicken pieces in a pint of milk mixed with the juice of half a lemon (buttermilk) for a few hours.
1 cup plain flour (or self raising for crispier)
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Roll the chicken in the flour and deep fry.
I do change it a bit as I don't really measure the quantities and sometimes I use hot paprika or I add tarragon or whatever
