The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Do you go into dungeons on your travels like oblivion?

thinking of getting it for chrimbo cos i loved Elder Scrolls.

Expect to come across vaults like the one you left, military bases guarded by robots, old science stations in the middle of nowhere and other numerous bunkers to explore :D

Dude, this is gonna ROCK!

Yeah that's what I thought, but if your going for collectibility your gonna want the Limited Edition imo, as the figure will be hard to find eventually, much like the figure that came with the BioShock Limited Edition.

or if you are going for collectability - get both like me! :) I cant remember the last time a game excited me so. Funnily enough I think it coulda been bioshock... (I have to say that or else big daddy will drill my eyes out as he stands on my amp watching over me lol!)

**EDIT**

Pre-Order the CE from here and get:

Fallout 3
Vault Boy Lunch Box
Vault Boy Bobble Head
Art Book
Making of DVD
(Vault Boy Key Ring) Only thru Pre-Order from X computer games chain of shops
(Fallout 3 Soundtrack CD) Only thru Pre-Order from X computer games chain of shops

or

Pre-Order the Ltd Edition from here and get:

Fallout 3
Statuette

Pre-Ordering from the 1st shop really makes the CE swell with the extra goodies and makes it even more worthwhile.

Luckily I have £10 on my reward card and a spare copy of Star Wars Forces Unleashed to p/x for the Fallout 3 Ltd.Edition which should bring it down to at most £15 i reckon max.

I never played the first one, jus the second and the fallout tactics release. Check out the vids n see what you reckon Drexel :)

Why do a lot of you want all this T-shirt and doll pap?

I dont get the attraction of owning all the other crap.

It's quite simple really, it's because we like the subject matter. Hence why people buy t-shirts, posters, other items emblazoned with logos from musical artists or films etc.

Computer games are just as important an entertainment medium nowadays as music and film imo and why should that not be reflected in the merchandise available for it?

hmm PC or Xbox which to get.

confirmation of exclusive downloadable content has been confirmed for both PC and 360 but not PS3. At the end of the day what it would boil down to is:

- can your PC pwn oblivion graphically?
- do you want to improve your gamerscore?
- which method of control would you prefer? (keyboard/mouse or controller)

Gonna be PC for me methinks...

Fallout 3 is under Games for Windows Live, meaning you can still add to your gamerscore, that and the opportunities for modding means I've ordered the pc version :D

you know it makes sense ;)

I reckon with all the potential gfx mods etc, this could be summit really special and i hope the modders will keep this alive. They did a bloomin good job with oblivion by all accounts.

Just had a bash of the 360 version. And all i can say is WOW! on the PC this will look great. I cant wait now!

ITs really good and feels amazing, the frame rate is unbelievable! It runs very smooth when loads is happening and its a very funny game.

Its only £20.00 on PC :D

I can officially say that I am jealous!!!

Have just been sent a voucher from my ex work colleagues so gonna get the collectors edition strategy guide too methinks :)

Agreed :) I love what I have seen in the videos so far. Can't wait to loose myself in that kind of world, it's just the kind of thing that interests me!

I've read a few complaints by some on the net regarding the first 30 minutes of the game being boring. Well, if character creation is boring for some people then 30 minutes of initial boredom is a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent game (hopefully). I personally feel that 30 minutes of interactive character building is more interesting than a simple screen with sliders, numerical values and a movable 3D model.

+1 :)

I didn't realise it was Ron Perlman who did the Voice Over in the trailer - coooooool :D

31st.

Does anyone know how the levlelling works? Is it like Oblivion where the skills go up as you use them or a more spending earned points where you like?

When you level up you spend points in any of the specialisms you want.

I only wish you could lvl up further than lvl 20 tho :( I wanna be able to just wander the wastelands after completing the main quests and just go around kicking arse :)

Hopefully gonna go into town later and pre-order the CE and Ltd Eds.

More importantly tho.....

I wonder what the exclusive DLC will be?!?!?!?!?!?!

Went into town today and pre-ordered the CE for 360 and the Ltd Ed for PC - woo woo indeedy doo :)

Deffo - with the knowledge of the other vaults and how messed up they were, it would deffo be interesting to see if there were any further survivors of the vaults.
