I was thinking about it more and its gets more terrible when I think about it. The child was created as a way to beat the the flying house missile ship. THEY ALL boarded the flying ship pretty easily and then blew it up using one of its own missiles against it?

One of the biggest problems with this film is John David Washington. He isn't a good actor. He is no where near good enough to carry a film like this.

Cast him in Blade the other guy is too old now
It had everything that I thought would make it a cool scifi. Ai, future, a decent budge and FX, yet I can't put my finger on why it was so boring.
Lack of character development maybe. Felt a bit thrown in the deep end at the start.

I quite enjoyed it and liked visual style of the world (even though some of the CGI was trash). Yes, agree it was a bit of a mish-mash of bits of other films / standard sci-fi concepts.
The overall way the story worked out was quite daft, shame it wasn’t a bit more coherent on that front.
