The Crow

So me and the wife went to see it last night as we have a child free weekend , was a drawn out love film with 20 mins worth of action. Glad we are off to see alien tonight.

On reflection I have no idea why anyone would make a movie knowing they cant come close to the original, never mind better it. Its almost like the director and screenwriter had watched the original and didnt understand it. There was violence and lots of it. However the pacing was so slow in areas that i was actually bored and couldnt wait for the movie to end. And that coming from someone that can tolerate most movies. Its a far cry from what Brandon Lee did despite Bill putting in a good shift. The story didnt make sense in parts and was very clumsy, with characters and dialogue that were plain and uninteresting. If you didnt use the crow title and the characters names from the original movie. This will be a very forgettable generic fantasy love b movie. To give you an idea I would rather watch Borderlands than this.

Very disappointing. I wish studios would just leave classics alone if they cant improve on the original. Its just a waste of everyone's time and money.

Just sick of shoddy cash grab remakes, reboots, sequels and prequels now. If you can't do an IP justice or bring anything new to it, just leave it the hell alone please :(

Hollywood is creatively bankrupt right now.

That's the first thing he's said that's made any sense in years. His last notable contribution was making the argument that if someone liked an IP as a kid whether it be Star Wars, Tolkien or anything else than you should automatically like everything that's made connected with that IP in the future - yeah thanks for that George...

Says it all when our local Cineworld has dropped this to one showing a day already, even Borderlands managed 2 weeks of numerous showings.

Shame as I do enjoy Bill Skarsgård in his other films.
