The Darkness 2

You are not missing anything, I have Kameo, The Darkness and dead Rising and they have all failed to entertain.

You can pretty much link them toghether as why that is as well:

Dodgy controls
Boring gameplay.

No exploding helicopters.

The Darkness did have an exploding helicopter. Dead Rising also had a helicopter that 'goes down' too.

Sacrilege; 3 great games and I'd personally rate both Dead Rising and The Darkness in my top 10 next gen.

As for dodgy controls... Ok Dead Rising made the fps mode more cumbersome than it needed to be and The Darkness isn't that great as a straight fps but they're far from broken.

Apart from the fact that The Darkness has great gameplay, great storyline, good controls and "an" exploding helicopter (twice i beleive?)

If I had known before i would have stuck with it a bit more.
As it is, It got played for a little over an hour before i declared it "clunky and dull" and threw it in the draw with Dead Rising and Kameo.

Dead Rising i stuck for a little longer, but the controls were awkward, throwing plates at zombies and then hitting them with an inflatable guitar before setting them on fire with cooking fat isnt anywhere near as funny and exciting as you first thought it would be.

Kameo was just big pants, my boy loved it, i just wasnt impressed.

Great news, cant wait...absolutely loved the first one...one of the best games next to Bioshock for me...am hoping Bioshock2 might come out as well.

First one was a good solid game to pass the time with, if the sequel is released at the same time as the first (i.e. when nothing else is about) then I'll probably pick it up. If it's released in the fall it'll get lost in the wake of big boys for me though

Great news :) Loved the original - which reminds me I still haven't completed it

Might start from the beginning and play it over the weekend :D

cant seem to find out much about a sequel from a quick google, but it looks like this project is now the riddick game.. :(

I don't think so, that was announced years ago. Im pretty sure we'll be hearing more about it after Riddick is out of the door....then hopefully a proper Riddick sequel :D

Hope so,

Wiki quote "Starbreeze Studio, spoke at NYCC 08 and have gone as far as saying: "We can't say Darkness and video game sequel in the same sentence, so Darkness. Wink. Sequel." :)

Cool just completed the game now :) Very disappointing ending - but I can see why there is a good possibility of a sequel :)

Played the first through.. a much as i liked elements and the engine was nice over all it was a bit of a mess of a game. Just need the story working a bit and making a few game play elements.

Might give the sequel a look but not holding my breathe.

no idea what happened at the end of hte 1st. i was a victim of the harmonica bug that the gimp like developers blamed on faulty xboxes then eventually acknowledged as a bug and refused to fix it. made it impossible to load the final level since it hung on the cutscene.

i'll play the 2nd game if it gets made, but no way am i buying it. they got my money for a faulty product 1st time round
