Ahhh bless.

Does the game look better than the trailers? Every one i've seen made it look like PS2 graphics (the bit where the guy is on the TV)..

(FYI: I've seen the HD-1080P trailer)
 
Got over my fear and now getting stuck into this game.

storyline is superb, fully immersive, definately makes you want to keep playing...

as a new 360 owner, its a ideal way to get into NextGen gaming :)
 
I think it showered me with a few too many achievements for a first run through, I came out without only 4 of the single player ones missing, which is a lot considering I didnt use a guide, other than that, superb game.
 
Got mine on order, as I couldn't find a copy at a local superstore/local PC superstore, on the way home last night :(

Completed it last night, last level was a lot of fun ;)

Loved all the darkness powers especially the arm, but I didn't find much use for the minions, they seem to be a bit dumb and not able to take much punishment. The explosive minion did more harm then good, they're funny as hell though.
 
just got this, first impressions are it looks very nice, but the PS3's graphics, although impressive, are completely let down by jaggies and stuff, i mean this game brings a new meaning to the word!

Yeah it is awfull, it really does look like a PS2 game :( for me it is taking all the enjoyment out of it.

Is that just the PS3 version? I've heard lots of praise in regards to the visuals on the Xbox360 version. I thought they were the same?

Are you playing it on 720P or 1080I? If youre having issues with the jag fest use 720P seem to be a lot less "jaggy" in my opinion.
 
yep im on 720p, although what do i need to select in the display menu? because its on auto at the minute with just 720p and the one just before it, 5 something picked, because a lot of my games have been awful looking, just wondering if im doing anything wrong.

I own em all, was hoping for the 360 to have a demo soon. The PS3 seems to have the better color and lighting, but just too sharp. Dunno if it is gonna be a problem with HDMI that it is just too crisp it shows the jaggies. Also the PS3 version doesn't use motion blur, weather or not you think it is a pro or a con is up to you, but that also doesn't help the jaggies :(

I tried both and both are ***** shocking IMO this and PotC are 2 games totally ruined by jaggies for me, just can't get into them cause of it.

I like motion blur looks very snazzy.

I'm not too surprised about the jaggies I haven't got my own copy yet but saw my friend playing multiplayer on the 360 and it looked very good pretty much no jaggies on that. :eek:

That's the motion blur though, a lot of people don't like it as it can be construed as being a cheap trick to try hide the troubles with some graphics. I think it is over used atm, but i am curious as to how the 360 version looks.
Maye the EU release will get AA and that's why it is taking so long to get here lol

Hehe i found the same with the minions as well, although on the last level the gunner one was pretty effective. The best part about the game was the little chatter the minions came out with...they were pretty funny at times.

All in all a very cool game, completed it myself last night and thought it was very good considering that i really didnt think too much of it when i first started playing it.

I found the WW1 bits a bit scary though, which made a change. The darkness powers were interesting, i liked the darkness guns though...seemed to be the most effective of all the powers...the arm one was good for moving things out of the way but really didnt use it that much tbh. Creeping dark was another power i found useful, useful for taking out a lot of the enemies when the guns werent of much use.
