The Darkness

I'm another one who enjoyed the trenches.....I thought it was quite an atmospheric part of the game

One of the best games I've played on the 360 for along while, might even actually finish this one!

The WW1 scene out in the open can get a bit repetitive if you keep dying but once in the village part, I thought it was great.

Dont understand what Edz is moaning about with gameplay and mechanics, they seem fine to me and the darkness powers really add to the game which makes it unique to most FPS imo.

I think they got this game pretty much spot on. Gratz to the programmers!

i think the only negative i have is the auto aim is a little too much, suitable for stuff like lights but makes gun combat a little easy imo.

This game just has so many lovely touches, the cutscenes hiding the loading screen are brilliant, all the different gameplay mechanics, using the demon arm to pick up a dumpster and use it as a shield, brilliant game.

The mechanics are there though, it's nice to finally play a FPS where the main character isn't necessarily a crack shot.
And what's up with the guy, are his shoe laces tied together through out the game?
Snails move faster.
As for the speed, that's actual walking speed, it's nice to not have someone legging it all over the place in another unrealistic feature of most games, speed walking.

I completely agree with what's been said above too.

i agree its so nice to walk through the subway station at the same speed as everyone else and not feel like some steroid induced duracell bunny

Difference is that the mafia isn't after every one else in the subway :( Their after you and as they are you'd think he would move his arse sometimes not wonder across the street as if he's got all the time in the world...

That's right...

Because of course realistically if the mafia was hunting you down you would walk around the streets without a care in the world :(

There's no way you would run, is there???

You can't have a character with giant tentacles and demons at their control then talk about something like walking not being realistic :)

Did you play the game?
Did he seem to care about anything?
Why would he run around afraid of the Mafia if he is taking them on 3 or 4 at a time?
I think the walking adds confidence to the character

Played this game most of today, up to the last chapter, just brilliant so far. Also one of my main complaints with the game has been fixed, the autoaim.

This is the first console game i've seen with an option for the amount of autoaim in the menu, turned it down a little and the combat is a lot more challenging :)

Grr, loving the game, despite it's poor performance on the PS3 but now I'm very near the end (I think) The voice has told me it's time to show me his power and suddenly my PS3 locks up.....

I never knew a game character had the power to mess up a console :o
