I don't think you could fit any mods to the magnum at all.

A magnum round is quite large, I wouldn't imagine it's classed as small calibre.

Thanks then the weapon mods should be more clear and explain which weapon it applies for.

I bought it from a DZ vendor thinking it would fit my primary. I never used pistols as it is faster taking out your secondary weapon since you can carry 3 weapons from the get go.
 
Hmm, day 1 purchase or not... Decisions, decisions.

Yes, I was very impressed by the beta (Gameplay, Environment, Performance, Atmosphere and Graphics). Sure there were problems with some cheaters but then which game doesn't have them? Just need to find a decent price. I've already redeemed by code for the 4 outfits so my character is pre-pimped. :D

I also need to find out how to get SweetFX working with a 3DLUT.
 
ive pre ordered it and have the week off so ill be ranking like a .........

cheaters gona cheat as in all games lets hope its not too bad.

after the beta i have a massive void :(
 
I've cancelled my pre-order after seeing the hacking videos on YouTube.

I have zero faith on Ubi fixing the issue for launch and they won't get anything from me until it's fixed!

Ditto here. I love the game itself, I love that they've taken the time to do a proper PC version and I really want to give them my money but after seeing the hacks already available I had no choice but to cancel my preorder.

If between now and launch they can convince me they'll have solid anti-cheat in then I'll rebuy it. Failing that I'll wait for post-launch reviews and decide then.
 
There will always be hackers! One game that seems to have done a very good job o think limiting them is BF4:

Ha. I mean you get hilarity points for that, but no, BF4s anti-cheat system is nothing to shout about. Punkbuster is about as useful as a chocolate teapot and Fairfight is just a stats analyser. As much as they go on about it not being wrong, it flags tons of false positives.

Valve Anti-Cheat is actually a very good anti-cheat despite all the hate it has garnered over the years. Heck, Valve even changed the way the game handles, transmits and receives client data in order to limit the methods of cheating open to hacks.

I'm fairly certain Ubisoft admitted that there was no anti-cheat in place for the duration of the beta, but that they have one ready to go for launch. The setCursorPos type cheats that enable locking onto player entities is something that can be detected easily. All the variables attached to a player were held client-side during the beta. This is something that is changing before the launch so the ability to modify / edit memory entries for ammo, health, currency etc will be locked down with server validation checks.

The fact that they left anti-cheat out of the beta client is only a good thing in my opinion - if it was included then it would give any would-be reverse engineers time to break it down and exploit it. By only enabling the anti-cheat upon release I'll wager good money that a lot of people using these hacks that worked in the beta will only end in tears for those accounts.

Yes. Although the beta didn't provide much access to pve, the full game certainly will. We did the main mission several times.

Most of my time was done in s 2 man squad and loved it

Going and staying rogue was tough, as was trying to hunt down 4 man rogue teams on our own, entirely possible but just need to be cautious.
 
I will admit when BF4 first came out it was awful, but then BF3 was even worse. I haven't come across a single hacker since I've start playing again.

I think FF does a great job at what it does. It look for stupid stats. I imagine 99% of the time its correct.
 
Man those 4k screenshots look so damned good.

I'm definitely in the want camp now, with a few remaining concerns. Main one I suppose is if the engine will give me headaches or not.

Is the open beta still pre-purchasers only?
