How does one get involved in the open beta? Wait for it to show up on Steam? I can play a limited amount on Friday so would be keen to preload...
Edit: Christ, wishful thinking. It's Uplay of course! So I presume the steam sale just sideloads the Uplay client?
It is for sale on steam as well iirc.
about 1 for every 2 bullets fired...
I am really excited about this game tbh. I was unsure at first with Ubi being attached to it, but after playing the Closed Beta I cant wait to play the new mission released for the Open Beta from 19-21st.
Think my old rig will struggle to run the full game come March, but yea with our squads play style in DayZ, this game will be a great fit if they get it right. Although a lot of concern over much of the online game being clientside - making it very easy for people to cheat/hack in the game. They do state they are addressing this though. Main point of feedback after the closed beta was to address this.
You sound like you work for ubisoft the way this is written.

+1
I know people who have upgraded their GPUs after trying the closed beta. They were originally wanted a 970 or 980ti but I've persuaded some just to get a 390 as a stop gap and upgrade to Polaris/Pascal later in the year.
I myself am looking to get a mic for Discord and normally I don't bother but I can see it being beneficial in this game.
The Reddit The Division community have also created a Radio which will be getting better and better in terms of content and having a busy schedule. I've played a tiny part in this so would like it if people can give their feedback and check it out.

I agree with him, the style of writing is unusual. What a sad observation that is. Especially to say there are Ubisoft employees who are actively posting in this thread. And yet anyone who say's anything good about the game must work for them?
I have to ask, what is the point of a radio channel for this game? Not meaning it as a dig, just curious.
I know during Planetside 1 days there was a community radio channel which reported about what was taking place on the servers at the time. Like massive battles under way at one base or if one empire was about to lose all their bases. Outfits would request songs to be played to led them into battle etc. But this worked as since there were only a couple of servers what was being reported could affect a lot of people playing at that time. I know a few times I would have it on in the background doing something else and it's almost like a call to arms when you hear that your empire is struggling and you would jump on to help.
With this one though, is it to just report on any news from Ubisoft? How is the schedule going to be filled?
Good luck with it, I've bookmarked it.
Some idiot's here lol.
