Tried it the other day again, wiped on Wave 8, for time and gear, CS is better. In the time it takes to complete FL, you can clear CS 3-4 times if all goes well.

For quantity of gear/clear speed, cs is definitely better, but you seem to have better chance of striker/sentry from fl, cs u will get mostly hunters/pred.

I would argue you can clear more than 3-4 times easily especially compared to CM FL

I thought so too but depending on how you get on, speed runs definitely, if you get caught up fighting the mobs then you'll struggle.

Completely agree, but if you are after that stuff then it's the place to go, unfortunately I need Sentry/Striker gear so I need to do FL :(

I would say to collect gear and put together a loadout you are happy enough with for running DZ/Missions etc I believe you had good DPS before so focus on toughness to make your survivability in the DZ better.

Sentrys and Strikers are still epic combinations, and if you are more of a support player, Tacticians is also still the best to go for with 2 final measure from the new set for resilience.

I will be on in about 10 minutes and don't mind running through anything :)

thanks Gamble, was good fun that, I'm impressed the game feels much nicer now, more to do and better variety of loot.

Will def be on later :) thanks fellas, twas fun.

Currently run 2 builds, still lacking a few 240s + waiting for the lvl32 mods in DZ.

DPS build @ 74.3% armour

Just solo buffs the dps up to 460k ish ;

Exo/slightly 'tanky' build @ 71.74% armour

66% Exotic + 29% Shock / 24% Burn / 12% Blind+Deaf / 11% Disrupt
which, if they stack, gives me 90% burn resist from them pesky flamers :D

I'm struggling to get any where near most of your stats even with 240 gs kit

I guess I'm just unlucky with the stats per item I get

What stats on on your kit brizzles?

How to get into this game?

Any tips for a novice to this game, and this type of game in general folks?

I don't really do online gaming as a rule but thought I would give this a whirl. Had it since release and not really played it much apart from randomly running round admiring the pretty graphics (980Ti SLI here, and finally got it running ok in SLI using a custom nvidia inspector profile).

It just seems so overwhelming to be honest, and I'm just not feeling it. No hook for me it feels.

Its more about experimenting with different combinations than just waiting for all 240s and thinking thats it :D

The DPS build i posted is far from ' top tier ' gear wise ;

Vest - 214
Mask - 214
Knee - 240
Backpack - 214
Holster - 240

Assault rifle - 182 !!

and all the gear mods are not lvl 32 either.

You just grind away, and maybe 1 in 50 green drops might give you that small boost you wanted.

Like most MMO (and RPG) you will make steady improvements until you hit the plateau, then it becomes fine tuning to improve and largely down to the RNG god of gaming.

EDIT:

Possibly the most important part - Make use of the 'Recalibration Station' in the BoO

Every now and then you will find a piece and think ' Damn, if only the 532 electronics was stamina i would be laughing '

Hmm I've tried loads of combo's but I either end up a glass cannon or no dps

Guess it's all down to luck on the drops

Personally, i would focus on survival first - DPS is useless if you are dead :D

1) Get armour mitigation to 70% minimum

2) Toughness to 360k minimum

3) Then look at DPS ( or Electronics ) and raise them, but keep raising the first 2 also

I never Skill power builds that are in the 100,000's like DPS and Toughness, is that even possible or do people just prefer the first two?

At 52k (26k if your using 4 piece tac set) skill power you hit the cap for most skills/cooldowns, no point going further afaik.

I'm the same, really bad rolls/stats despite having decent-ish gear and gear score - can't get anywhere near these numbers.

Lots of good CM FL runs with randoms over the weekend. Did 4 runs in a row with different groups yesterday and no problems. Not as smooth today but still got a couple of completes in.

Loving my deadly/brutal/viscious lvoa-c, tickling 200k dps whilst running a support build is great.

Just waiting on a nice 204 MR drop.

Just got a 204 LOAV-C drop and changed it over my Ak-47, taken me from 190dps to 205k dps. Seems decent but recoil is heavy.
Looks like everyone runs with the AUG? Guess I need to find a 204 somewhere.

I picked up the Aug from the boo (because too many PX) and its not too bad for a 182.

Damn PC crapped out twice doing the daily challenge mission. Luckily as I jumped back quickly the first time, when I crashed just before the end of the mission they kindly waited for me to come back so I got rewards :)

Think it was just too toasty in the box room for the PC..
