*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

How stumped will I be playing this now as a totally new character? Also, is solo play possible?

I played solo in story mode and then jumped in to the DZ, i found ranking up in the DZ a lot easier and better as a group.

i have also soloed most of the UG as well but you can join groups to speed it up if you want

And you get free jackets :)

Bes thing about the whole story/side missions lol!

I enjoyed the route to 30. I might get an alt and do it again soon to be honest.

not confirmed but could be fixes for things like map bug on thursday maintenance.

What is this map bug? I haven't noticed it but then again, I don't see a lot of these bugs luckily

I never had the map bug either, everything has worked fine since patch. i think the issue is it used to load a blank map

the only issue that i used to get was falling through the floor but i didn't get it that much

the one where the map does not display when pressing space. it makes the sound like it opens and your character "poses" like he's got his watch up but the map isn't there.

i fixed mine by disabling all overlays (inc the steam fps counter).

I enjoyed it too. If anything, it went too quickly; I was constantly swapping out gear and weapons as everything became under-leveled very quickly.

When loading the mega map, as soon as you click or scroll, it disappears, meaning you can't fast travel, launch missions, etc. Resolves itself eventually as you browse through other menus then go back to it, but it means a lot of fannying about to do basic stuff. Makes HVTs a long hike, having to run everywhere, so have binned that idea for now.

haha :D Would be epic especially if it brought on the disorientated status effect.

:D 1v1 in the DZ, lets do it lol! (keep that m44 away from me though)

I don't know what spud means. I'm not going to ask.

Oh I'll bring it with alpha and my other sniper as a secondary: pointing it at you will kill you :D

Blind and Firecrest I instantly sell, I have no use for them. Is heroic mode Dragon's Nest rolling out today now they fixed the cheese?

Want a Blind backpack as well, have a very good AlphaBridge one but the thing is huge; the former looks better. I still have a full set of FireCrest in the stash, because, futile hope eh. Seems like Reclaimer and AlphaBridge are the two best full sets of the new ones. Disappointed in Blind judging by your comments, but the 2 piece can be worth it - will try it or else Sentry's with AlphaBridge.

Just like Tek I pick up every SMG and AR for a secondary hoping for nice talents. Have two potentials right now.

Funny tho - i have 3 268 Blind gloves which i dont need :(

Funny? I'm crying uncontrollably :D

Ah right OK, I definitely haven't noticed that at all.

Only glitch I have found is getting stuck at a vendor but it always resolves itself within a few seconds

Not to rub salt in the wounds but I sold 4 blind masks, 2 blind kneepads, 1 blind backpack, 1 blind vest, 1 blind holster and 2 blind gloves this morning - all 268 as they required two separate rolls to be usable with the highest attributes.

The above is a big annoyance with UG - I couldn't have even shared any of these straight after I got them with team members so it is literally wasted.

yeah otherwise its been pretty good. managed to go out of bounds collecting underground intel the other day and got respawned to the start of the map.

Everything should be sharable in my opinion.

I think that 24 hours as a max would be sufficient for every drop.

Then outwith those first 24 hours, it could be an exchange like PC/credits/DZ funds in exchange for a piece of gear/weapon etc but it would need to calculate cost based on GS and money put onto rolling or something like that.

I have noticed that there is a very big difference between GS268 gear you get in the UG and heroic Incursions vs the DZ(for the most part anyway)

The blind chest that I had, I got from the DZ and it was GS268 but had under 1000 armour, vs the blind chest I got in the UG which had 1500 as a base.

I have had a few other examples as well, like strikers gloves from DZ vs Incursions, Predators in UG vs DZ, Firecrest in UG vs DZ where everything but the DZ was better.

Luck of the draw as always but it happens too regularly - only exception to this is Alphabridge so far.

Main reason I say this is that until I went into the DZ I thought that the new GS255 max score, would be a good indicator of the fact the player is pretty well geared as all the pieces I had received in Incursions/UG were all a massive upgrade from 240 gear or the 228GS overall.

But I can easily make myself a bit of a weak fart using some of the DZ 268 pieces (now sold) so there is still no way to tell which is annoying, and also no way to tell until you see them play.

Works in reverse though, I know GS255 doesn't relate to a well geared player but I have seen complaints about people getting kicked to low GS lol. They need to find a balance with GS OR make it so that GS255 is definitively a well geared player, or as a last resort - remove it as currently, having GS requirements on stuff is pointless.

EDIT: Overall, GS268 gear is a massive upgrade though, shockingly so infact, suppose its the RNG at work again lol

I'm hoping to drag a certain Scotsman along to spend the bit of the eve in the DZ before we go UG so I'm certainly up for it!

Having a Reclaimer around can be handy! Bind all consumbles to 1 key it was eh? :D

I hope you're not talking about me :O

But if there is a spot in a DZ group for a while, give me a shout for sure. I will bring my finest tanky suit :)
