Not many players left now, you do have to wonder who they're doing this for?? Doesn't seem all that cost effective, maybe they're just trying to salvage what's left of their reputation...

(God that sounds negative, didn't mean it to!! lol)

Its a reasonable comment for sure, one which I think is true in a sense as well.

I think the reason they are doing it is because they must "have" to release the last two DLC due to season pass owners, as well as that being their plan, but they know the new dlc will break the game even more so need to do something first to fix it.

Catch 22 that one.

Majority of players still in the game are either

1. Hardcore players
2. Cheaters / DZ Griefers
3. Those who play in groups

So do they make the game super casual and win back the casual crowd and solo players and risk losing the hardcore player base? Or actually find a way to balance the game so that the solo players, group players, casual and hardcore are all pleased. That is very hard to do and requires fundamental changes to DZ and the game in general.

If 1.4 ostracizes any of the player base above then you have to risk losing a percentage of the population. If DZ multi rogue groups and cheaters aren't fixed then that is me done with the game.

A shame really and it has all the ingredients of a long lasting and fun game but not sure what they need to do to get people playing again. I fire it up and just don't feel it anymore, which is a real shame, as I really do like it.

hehe, I love how his video doesn't include the amount of times he got clapped in that DZ session.

I still want to try nomad tbh, but it wont be anything like the other gearsets, regardless of health on kill

Yeah I can imagine! Just saw your names pop up and thought I'd let you know that's all!

Poor Widdz got downed a few times in that session, wonder how fast my YT comment gets deleted :)

I do like the nomad gear set talents, may try it on my alt one day and see whats its like. Shouldn't have issues getting that set.

Hi guys,

Just started playing this again, any tips for a returning player?

I mainly play solo or co-op with 1 other mate, been running underground hard with 3 modifiers - gs of 210 - the jump up to challenging seems insane.

Is this the best place to spend my time until I get a good full setup? only got 4 set reclaimer.

Feel free to add me on uplay: dsxy-

From Reddit:

Just announced on SotG stream: In 1.4, lvl 30 players can set the "World Level" of the game! self.thedivision

In other words, they can choose tho overall difficulty level of the WHOLE GAME, including NPC lvls and reward levels!!!
IT'S HAPPENING!
They showed the menu where you can select the world-scaling tiers and this will reflect the power level of the NPCs as well as the level/quality of gear drops.
They are also re-scaling high-end and set pieces to be similar/the same levels. Man it really seems like if they pull this off they are gonna actually fix the game.

BULLET KING IS COMING BACKIN 1.4! HE LIVES. LONG LIVE THE KING! self.thedivision

Just announced in stream. Bringing back all named enemies in open world. Additionally, random no-name enemies in open world and other activities (except incursions) can have a chance of dropping the highest level gear!
