*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

omg tune into SOTG now to see survival gameplay. Sort of like H1Z1 king of the hill. Painkillers, food, all sorts!

Whole map! Wow

You can get hurt from the cold and the vanity items have cold resistance! This is amazing looking

This sounds amazing, got a link to details?

Is Survival paid dlc? I'm wondering if it's worth trying to further perfect my current build if it's going to be defunct fairly soon.

Yeah its the second of three paid DLC.

OK so you start off with basic green gear and weapons. No equipment, no medkits and no skills.

Everything needs to be looted and crafted including your skills like pulse etc.

Virus infection, hunger, thirst, fatigue and cold is all there to try get you before you even get a chance to find NPC's so the vanity items and collectibles all go to combat this.

Incredible....

If I'm correct in what I heard from the broadcast it's going to be defunct as part of Survival is update 1.5 which adds a new World Tier with increased Gear Score. We'll know for sure when they post the patch notes later today.

We are getting so much in this:

Legenday named gear
Named weapons - more of
New GS
Harder Content

As well as survival. Im so impressed its unreal.

Is it going to be seperate to the main game then, like UG? I can't watch the video about it at present unfortunatly.

Yeah survival itself will be a self contained game mode.

But if you don't have the season pass or buy the DLC, you still get the higher GS, harder content, new named weapons and gear also.

New content is looking GOOD

EDIT:

Finally got a holster better than my tactician one last night :D Was a striker one too so it would be nice to get 1-2 more pieces of striker gear but don't think that will happen as the yellow stuff I have is godly atm :p :o

Is it too late to start playing this. I'm after a decent shooter that will keep me coming back but nothing has stuck yet.

Will I be too far behind and has the game changed much since the beta days?

No, not too late. I started playing this first time round Friday and just hit level 19 over the weekend.

I'm tempted get it, I enjoyed the beta but never bothered buying it at the time.

I didn't get it on release due to the poor reviews. However, even though I've not kept up with the progress and improvements from the patch releases, it's a superb game. The affects, detail, game play, animations are well designed and keep bringing me back. Seriously good effort by Ubisoft I think.

It's not too late. Especially considering the progressive nature of the game.
