The journey to rank 30 is just superb. Game is worth getting just for the graphics, soundtrack + effects + atmosphere in New York city alone imo.

Easily my GOTY although it hasn't really been great choice this year so... :p

Currently got around 300 hours logged
 
Tbh I'm liking the idea of the survival mode, seems it has potential to outshine all the others that flood the market.

Alsoanything a new starter should look out for? Is the DLC worth it?

The DLC so far tbh hasn't been worth it for a lot of people although I thoroughly enjoyed underground and the PVE supply drops twice a month.

Survival is definitely looking like the best addon for this game so far and now that there is balance in end game - progressing difficulty is now more achievable solo and as a group.

I have around 1500 hours in this game, and have grinded my way through every patch, every bit of content, unbalanced 1.3 and will definitely be continuing to grind and play through survival and 1.5.
 
Underground is ok but it gets boring real fast imo.

This new survival content looks pretty good and more interesting though!

If you can pick the entire game up for less than £30 then you might as well go for it though.

Think 85.

I haven't bothered with the DZ for a looooooooooong time (at least not spending any serious time in there) due to them ****ing it up a few patches ago + having multi-groups running around. I probably should try it again now that it is fixed with 1.4 and fewer players about to grief me :p

I spend most my time in the DZ :P Farming agents can be just as efficient if not more sometimes lol!!
 
Im normally running through the DZ, rank 62 atm so getting there with it.

I should be on tonight with a friend doing the boss run and then in the DZ, if he isnt on ill be soloing it as normal if anyone is about

Of course :)

Even just farming is fine - you can ignore players and rogues if you wish, play smart and so on.

When your in a 4 man group its just too fun though. Last night we were at the pit and came across a 4 man group. Hit tac link, turned the corner with my m60 and the basically evaporated lol

So much fun sometimes, but as Nexus said, multigrouping is a problem still.
 
The expansion sounds a bit like DayZ, which isn't a bad thing providing it works. I'm not sure about the pvp aspect of it though. I can only imagine the frustration at surviving for xxxx amount of time, only to be slaughtered by someone. It would be like DZ level annoyance magnified:D

You can select pve or pvp apparently, and avoid the DZ :)

Going to stream it tonight and see what its like
 
One thing I am wondering, will there be seperate character creation to the main game or do you just start with one of your chars but gear gets put in some safe place you cant access it?

Wondering this because all 4 of my char slots are already filled.
