Live in Manchester, M60 closed on Barton Bridge. Traffic cameras look horrific. So the question is, do I attempt to drive to work on the M60 and the then the M62 or do I just stay safe at home?

I'm going to work, yesterday I went to work after de-icing 2 cars, so just suck it up and go do what you get paid to do :p
 
Well my routes are all closed and jammed so I won't get there any time soon, traffic cameras look awful and there is about 6 inches of snow on my car!

2 weeks ago was the worst ive ever seen. I might have been 20 mins late, but I still made it. I even left early, still wasnt early enough!

You sound like my boss. I had the "all my staff are pussies and nobody knows how to drive in snow speech" on xmas eve when we were all late in despite us all setting off at least an hour early to come into work.

That's fine except nothing you can do if they close the road or you are stuck in a traffic jam due to an accident.

It's easy for him to say that when he has a Range Rover :rolleyes:
 
I'm staying at home. Tried reversing off the drive and went nowhere.

Nearly fell flat on my face and what with it predicted to get worse there's no chance I'm going.

My boss is pretty cool so shouldn't be an issue and I can pick some things up from home.

Watching a car stuck right outside my window, snow and ice is unpredictable to drive on at the best of times and I don't want to run my car off the road. Simple as that. And there is more snow to come.
 
I can't even get up a small hill out of my esate. Stupid direction tyres and RWD. Winter rubber next year I think.

My car didn't start Friday night so I walked to work because I am a Man & I work for My Living. :D






I do only live a 7 minute walk away from work though but like destroying the planet on the way there.
