Rightey-o then, who's in? I appreciate we've got the wagon thread but I think this probably caters to a wider audience.

Come on, join and and be healthy to start off 2026

Beyond the odd cider I had a first real drink (read vodka) last night for the new year and really didn't enjoy it at all.

I'll hop on your darned wagon alright.

Rarely drink.

Did enough of that when I was younger and I vowed back then I would never be one of those older types I would see still getting hammered.

So I'm continuing to do what I told my younger self I would.

But then he was drunk and clubbing most of the time so he wouldn't probably remember if I did otherwise :)

I very rarely drink these days, so Dry January specifically won't make much difference to me anyway, as I'm dry most of the year. Christmas and the couple rare special occasions are the only times I'll have a couple.

Started to get horrible palpitations when drinking back in October so haven't had a drink since then. First dry Christmas since I was legally allowed to drink (and probably even further back).

The only thing I've really missed is a nice pint of bitter / ale. I have drank my own bodyweight in Guinness zero over the festive period and I've had some lovely non alcoholic beers though, so it hasn't been too bad.

A big part of me is tempted to continue through January and maybe just stay sober.
