The Emirates FA Cup 4th Round ** Spoilers ** [27th - 30th January 2023]

I did say revenue in my original post :p

Which is fine but that isn't of any relevance to spending. With the revenues we had at the time we should have been buying the best players and dominating domestically and abroad. I could never fathom why we didn't. I watched years under Ferguson where we barely had a midfield. I watched years of the likes of Fletcher, Cleverley, Park being played instead of upgrades bought. It was only once Ferguson had retired that the wanton spending began but with no plan.

I'm not debating that we haven't spent huge money over the last 20 years, its just been wasted largely and when we were at the most dominant we didn't make the most of it.

Yeah, i was just making the point that todays climate in the PL is very different to the 90's and early 00's. What is it? 12 British teams in the top 20 for club revenue in Europe. There is just so much money sloshing about now, even bottom half teams relative to Europe have a lot of pulling power.

Yeah, I think we were arguing against points the other hadn't actually made

A rare occurence on these good forums :p

Get in Wrexham!
Seen how crud the floodlights are? Reynolds needs to buy a few more lol.
New ones are in the process of being installed! They were meant to be in before the second half of the season but its looking more likely to be for the start of next season now!

New stand should be done for the 24/25 season also - its a good time to be a Wrexham fan :D

Still absolutely gutted about conceding last minute yesterday though crazy that a 3-3 draw with a top Championship side can feel like a massive defeat!

Thought that was the best 4th round match to be fair, hope Wrexham get the same amazing support at the replay, Sheff U likely a Prem side next season?

I'm happy with the next round draws, finally a home game against Blackburn or Brum

We will likely sell out what ever allocation they give us - to be fair we've got a great away following! I'll certainly be there!

Massive carrot to play for now as well Spurs at home would be amazing - I feel like beating Sheffield at their place may be a step too far though...but magic of the FA cup and all that :D
