The issue with the argument of “what is he supposed to do” doesn’t hold up for me. Players block shots with their arms behind their back for this reason. Players don’t slide tackle in the box because any contact will be a penalty. If you jump for a header in the box and your arms are flying around and the ball hits them it will probably be a penalty.
We had a similar decision against us recently. Think it was AWB in the 90 somethingth minute.

Grealish's arm comes down from the initial jump then he raises it again as the ball is played. His arm goes up, down then up!
Yeah Jenas was trying to claim it was just part of his jump but he quite clearly lowers his arm after the jump thrust then raises it again to block the ball.
Completely agree but that’s beyond a player, or fans control.Schmeichel summed it up perfectly, penalties should be for really bad stuff in the box, not this nonsense we see frequently.
So you should be allowed to block crosses with your arms with no punishment?Rules say it was a penalty. No complaints there
The rules have to change though because that is stupid.
Neutral here. Grealish did not intentionally block the ball.
Calm down, you're being silly. So you should be allowed to block crosses with your arms with no punishment?
I'm seriously asking what your suggestion is since you don't think they're a penaltyCalm down, you're being silly.
