The end for my PC gaming?

I'm sorry for stating this again but Games just aren't what they used to be for a start they used to be challenging also longer and with betterer plots now they're all pretty, shiney and easy to complete!

Anyone else feel the same?
Exactly the same

People seem to think I have ADD...

I have 158 games on my steam, I've completed maybe 2 games. The games I've played the most are call of duty on my steam but I'll play them solid for a month, get bored and quit.

The longest game I played was legend of mir and I played that on and off for around 5 years. MMOs are my genre but I'm lucky if I stick to them for more than 1 month. Recently I've got and played in terms of hours...

Sky Rim - 30 hours
Saints Row - 1 hour - sold already
MW3 - 48 hours
Assassins Creed - 2 hours - sold
Halo An edition - 5 mins and will be selling
Dark Souls - 5-10 hours - no interest in playing again
Uncharted 3 - 2 hours - sold.
Batman AC - 1 hour - no interest in playing again.
Rage - 3 hours - no interest in playing again.
Fifa 12 - spent £100 on FUT player packs, played maybe 10 games online got bored stopped playing.

Basically any big release in the last 3 months I've got and don't play.

Just can't find games to keep my interest. I'm playing MW3 a lot at the moment I wont lie but once I'm bored of that I'll go back to serial game buying.

Yes and more recently with Rage.. I know it's not the most highly rated game but there doesn't appear to be any real ground breaking games as there once was. As a result, I have been looking looking at the XBox. It has it's advantages like comfort, a good second hand trade-in/sales, consistency, and a wide range of titles and so forth.. I'm not attempting to turn this into a console v PC debate because each have there advantages and disadvantages but this about my preference and what's right for me.

But I just still can't get used the controller for first person though which still puts me off.. now matter how hard I try. I have been thinking lately that maybe i should just call it a day... Should a 44 year old be playing video games.. There;s no rule not to bad i can't help think I should... but then another title is announced.. Max Payne III is a must for me.. :)

Ye I must admit that as soon as mw3 came out I started get really bored of playing consoles games, can't stand to play a single game on mw3 or FIFA. Resorting to putting more time on my pc gaming like I used to a number of years ago going back to WOW, Gunna get skyrim and play a heck load of MINECRAFT!!! :)

It is hard to stick to a game these days. Real life maybe? The overwhelming realisation that our £1k+ PCs are playing titles specifically designed for gaming systems that cost <£200? Who knows!

Batman for example. Loved AA. Love it! But I find myself bored after 30 mins of play of AC. Not that it isn't a better title. It is. But I am just bored.

I think someone else above alluded to the fact it is about WHO you play with. My clan - who shall remain nameless for political reasons - are just a bunch of guys playing together and trying to knife each other. It's super fun! They have just started/stopped playing that Star Wars thingy.

I think the key is to
1. Have a massive HDD
2. Download/install all your game titles
3. Flick between them
4. Get some decent friends to play coop/multiplayer with

:)

I thought I had come to the end of my PC gaming as I'm not prepared to upgrade my PC for BF3 or MW3 & have only played BF2 for the last 5 or so years. I bought a cheap 2nd hand PS3 & Black Ops instead, I liked it so much I traded my 2nd hand FAT PS3 in for a Slim 160 & BF3 & got MW via Asda Direct for 31 quid. I've not taken to BF3 but I've played untold hours of MW3 & have got my gaming buzz back.
Kicking back in my leather recliner & playing MW3 on my 40 HDTV with the sound coming out of my surround sound is Awesome.

And that poster who said Oldies grow up can **** off. :p

Yes with 12 year olds kids screaming your ear "Haha you nub" followed by " JIMMY.... JIMMY.... Your tea is ready".

PC gaming is all about community. I'd play hello kitty island adventure if my clan were play it!

Goon we do play that and so do you. PC gaming is indeed about playing together

And the name is automatically blanked out with stars mate - thanks to ThundyCat :) See - "*** is the best clan ever"

I am joking, please don't try it Goon

who you play with makes a huge difference imo.

my coh buddy is away for 10months of the year so i don't play coh all year round.

when i was in fifa club i played fifa much more. now i found a decent bf3 server with regulars i play that often. same went with bc2.

playing as a randomer on a random server full of randoms isn't much fun..

come here you..

lol. no i just find it boring killing randomers. i get less sense of satisfaction and you cant see if you are getting better unless you have some yardstivk to go by.

like i really enjoyed killing dg and edel in bc2. that made me happy. especially since i had died so much when i started playing and had been knifed or drilled so many times.

its like the empire strikes back. if they had no rebels to fight against the films going to be very boring.
