Yeah there's 3 in Reading too. And they aren't exactly far away from each other. I think there's barely 100m between the one on the high street and the one in Broad Street Mall.

Hmm then I wonder how Tesco posted profits of £2.2billion for the last year. Tesco's, as others have said, can afford to diversify on their ranges due to the fact they use games, dvd's, etc as "loss leaders" knowing that the majority of people will pick up their weekly shopping or just a few bits and pieces. Profit margins are a lot higher on food stuffs so that is where they make there money. Not everyone who goes to tescos will buy a game so keeping their losses on that side minimal compared to the money they will make on selling their other products. Hence the price on games being lower than a dedicated games store, I can pretty much say for certain that if everyone started buying their games from tescos then the prices would then go up as they would be losing an incredible amount of money.

I guess they are running GAME and Gameplay as seperate companies. It seems odd to me when a corporation runs what seem to be two competing companies, but I guess it's to make people think there really is some competition going on.

In essence they are... but alas they are definately the same. Nothing wrong with it though, as game have the high street market wrapped up, and gameplay the online market.
