The end of Gamespy...

The only thing I can seem to remember about GameSpy is it forcing me to use their Server Client for some old game which I stopped playing and completely forgot about due to being forced to use GameSpy... So good riddance and far too long overdue!

Out of interest what review sites do people use then, had a quick peek back at megagames.com - used to get all my cheats and patches from there back in the day..

Haven't look at site for years but remember it from back in the day, the gamespy arcade that used to prompt you to install with every PC game.

metacritic + watch youtube videos. I like to see Average Joes playing the game rather than relying on probably biased "professional reviewers"

Ah yes, back when you could actually easily filter for everything under the sun, then we shifted to really bad ingame browsers, back to browser based like BF3 and now it's all over the place.

To be honest, there are still far too many online games which don't have a decent server browser with limited filters and search.

As for the site, didn't use it. :Z

This only affects me because FSX uses gamespy for its online servers :(

You can still get around it and connect to servers, but means the server that used to be my favourite and loved playing on is now gone.

Never used/read.
Used to have to tell game installations to not install their software back in the day. That's about it.
