The ex, identity theft and fraud.

No; you see the thing is I really can box, trained in a pit gym from being young, growing up with muscular dystrophy attracts the bully type so I made sure they went away with suitably deflated ego's. Have to train like a man possessed to fight this muscular dystrophy I have so apart from the muscular dystrophy im probably fitter than a lot of people in my age range.

Anyway the point I was making is that my logic and reason combined with sarcasm and the fact that I am not going to be bullied by anyone would leave a debt collector wishing they did not have the misfortune to call on me.

Chill out dude, it's a OCUK meme (search 'boxing stance'), it's kinda a running gag.

On topic, I feel sorry for you and I hope it gets sorted without you being out of pocket.

What a horrible situation to be in. Hopefully you don't end up out of pocket and she will be punished in some way.

I found your original comment a bit 'off' too tbh.

Wow, I don't really have much to help unfortunately, but I can't see why you should have to pay any of this.....

Can't see why anyone would with identity fraud to be honest. If the debt collectors come around, you should just point them to the ex's house. Although that may be slightly harsh on your kids :s

Good luck getting this sorted though, and keep us updated!

Sorry to hear this mate, it sounds like you haven't had to fight your corner too much with this and her previous with the police has certain set the scene. I suspect this will go to court given the number of contracts/cards she's taken out in your name.

Was she ever charged for the previous assaults etc.?

Keep us posted mate, and keep your chin up. She's on the ropes now, and by the time this is over I doubt very much she'll be able to bother you again.

I work for a debt collections agency and we get situations like this all the time.

The usual process we follow is to get you to report it to the police following the normal procedure. They should provide you with a crime reference number and then you can relay that back to the creditors along with all the other relevant information and they will tend to do their own internal investigation and make a decision from then on in regards to writing off the debt or continue to chase for it.

Sounds like a bad situation though, best of luck.

When you read it, did you adopt your boxing stance?

Do you ever wonder why?

Because you know me personally in my work environment and I personally call people liars and 9 out of 10 times I'm calling the wrong person?

You're probabaly one of those people who does nothing but shout abuse down the telephone, no wonder your phone number isn't getting removed from the system! We HAVE to terminate the call if the other person is being abusive and rude.

We would certainly not be allowed to call you a liar and if we were caught doing so, we would probably lose our jobs.

We aren't all bad in the collection industry.

That is Real bad. Feel for you fella and hope it all works out right in the end.
Can't give any advice with never having this happen the way it has to you but this kind of thing would send me over the edge into killer land..

I actually read your post and then looked at your Sig. Smile Followed.

Has anyone had to deal with anything like this; I have been reading around and it seems these things hardly ever go to court leaving the victim with the bill, im absolutely fuming and I don't know how this will turn out.

If it doesn't got to court then why on earth would you, the victim, ever have to pay anything.

If it does go to court then just present all the evidence you can to show that you've been a victim of fraud - the fact that you don't live at the address these things were ordered to ought to help somewhat... you'll have a crime reference number etc.. too for the O2 thing you've already got a contract with them at your current address...

Are you still on the electoral roll at that address? Also consider looking into Royal Mail's mail fwd'ing service - pay a small fee and next time any letters get sent there it can be diverted automatically to you:

Hitman? More like Manup. :p

Man up and do what exactly?, physical violence because she told me herself she wanted to have me arrested for something to prevent me being a teacher. Believe me I have wished she were male or me female for just five minutes many times so I could have given her the hiding of her life. I don't hit women so retaliation was out of the question.

18k from a bank when you have no reason not to trust someone who you have been in a relationship for over 12 years with and nothing to my knowledge had gone wrong at that point.

My ex wife paid off her new boyfriends car finance on my CC. As we hadn't divorced at the time and I failed to cancel her card it became a civil matter which I couldn't afford to fight.

All I did was refuse to pay the bill, she left me in so much debt anyway that my credit rating was ruined. I just moved and 4 years on they have never found me.

I think the only downside of doing this is that they will write to your old address to say its happening (this stops fraudulent attempts to redirect mail) so she will know, she could even respond to the letter and stop the redirect.

I assume you torched the house & car before "disappearing"?!
