The Exodus has begun!

I didn’t notice it until I’d been somewhere else for couple of weeks. Centre of town has a background note of exhaust fumes, but the outskirts didn’t.

Don’t miss having a tissue covered in black/grey crud every time I blow my nose now that I live out in the sticks.

It's a kind of a musty, sooty, diesel smell. People living there are probably used to it and don't notice it. But you can smell it as soon as you step off the train. When going home the air feels much richer like there is more oxygen in it.

I noticed a similar thing when I went to Las Vagas, the whole place has a slight smell of jet fuel for some reason.

just to say that pre 6 years ago i was afew hundred yards away from Dewsbury moor (think Shannon Mathews) we used to travel to some really nice places .Haworth ,east coast ,Pugneys water park ect but going somewhere nice isnt the sane as living somewhere nice (well amazing actually) its like another planet compared to the city
my (our) place was only scraping 100k ,outbuildings and one garden extends down to the bottom house maybe 180 ft ,needed light improvement but nothing too big .
my advice would be to stop thinking about it and actually do it

I bet the filthy commoner wanted you to go south of the river after dark as well, the cheeky swine!

That much used calumny didn’t apply to me, naturally I have no way of proving it, but I didn’t care where the job went, North, South, East, or West, providing that they looked like they could pay me, I’d go anywhere.
