The FA Community Shield - Chelsea v Manchester City *spoilers* [12th August 2012]

It's a red. Christ sake do we have to go over this again every season. He's come in high, over the ball and raked his studs straight in to the players shin. With a rooted foot that can be a leg breaker. When will players learn? **** off ITV commentators as well.

Wait for the Champions League group games, we got more for a europa league quali it would seem.

Also Torres top scorer 12/13

I really would like Torres to do well (apart from scoring against us) I dunno, even though he still took his goal well, there's something about his game that isn't as sharp as what it was in them first couple of seasons at Anfield. For opposition fans he really was a joy to watch when he bullied defenders with his sheer pace. I don't think it's his pace that has let him down it looks more like his touch than anything

exactly. it's laughable really how players continue to do this.

To be fair he had an absolutely gash touch for us on occasion, must be a confidence thing and not some sort of technique, also as much as he had decent pace for us he did get outpaced in a 1v1 a fair few times, better at muscling them off, as you said it probably is down more to his touch.

I'm happy to watch him never score a goal again, unless he leaves England or comes back to us. Tough not to be slightly happy seeing him score at times though

Defo red but the fact Savic didn't get his marching orders for a second yellow shows the officials are as bad as ever.

This was my point, not complaining about it being a red.

Inconsistency and we are only halfway into the first match of the season. What football needs are Collina clones to run all matches :D
