The FA CUP Fifth Round - 16/17/18/27 February *** Spoilers ***

Was rather funny whoever said '**** all you welbeck doubters' after he scored what, his second goal of the season :p?

That was me and I'll stick with it.

The bashing he gets on this forum is pathetic, I don't see it anywhere else but here. It's ridiculous and just totally OTT.

But then I don't think posting is really anything but ridiculous/special at all here when it comes to Manchester United, I'm usually more interested in the other clubs goings ons because it's not handbags/damn right dumb.

Sorry, they have every right to doubt him, he has the composure/touch in the final third of an amputated goat.

That said I agree on the posts on him are seriously OTT, but then again there doesn't seem to be much middle ground in opinions between United fans

Just waiting for you to whine about Carrick now...

Give the damn kid a chance, he's a 22 year old forward playing his second full season for the club mainly on the wing, alongside the likes of Rooney and Van Persie. He's never going to outshine them is he? He's still technically better than most other forwards in the league, if you can't see how his hold up play and vision help other players then there's no hope

and then he falls over 1 on 1 with the opposition keeper

His head just goes when he has sight of goal

Im sure for a mid-table team he would be a great signing - but I cant see him ever being Utd quality.....he is another Gibson, who will continue to be great for Everton....

edit - Well done Nani, a great goal and a good assist , he was fortunate in injury time the free kick he conceeded didnt come to anything but even so.

Fun day yesterday. Was more than a bit miffed when the ref didn't play advantage as we scored a split second later. Can't argue with the result though. We more than matched Chelsea over the course of three halves of football, in fact I'd say we played better over large period of the two games. But when you're up against such an awesome team mental exhaustion kicks in after a while, the game opens up and you can get easily taken apart.

Over the two games I was very impressed with Mata and Oscar, less so Cole, Lampard and Terry.

Luiz should have got sent off for the shoulder into Reeves' jaw. What the TV cameras didn't show was Reeves standing up just after the foul and collapsing! It was premeditated, purposeful and cowardly. The law whereby receiving a yellow card rules out any further punishment is mind-bogglingly pathetic.

Nice afternoon spent in the Sloany Pony after the game :) Now onto Walsall and our impending promotion.

Luiz's 'challenge' was a shocker, I said to my mate just before it that he had the hump after your captain nipped at his heels and he's likely to do something stupid:(
You didn't play as good as you did in the first game I thought but certainly weren't embarrassed.
Your fans definitely had fun and were a credit although the atmosphere was the worst this season. As the game went on general sale there were 1000's of kids & people who never usually go & that killed it.
Good luck for the rest of the season, hope you get automatic promotion as the playoffs have never been kind to you ;)

im not looking forward to tonights game, our performances have been poor the turn of the year and i cant see it improving as the players get tired :(
