I'm suggesting don't do them at all. Sadly for him because it's such a silly bet I don't see any way out for him. If they aren't happy about paying out then don't offer it to people in the hope they'd be throwing money away. If he'd influenced the outcome of the actual game at hand, then that's wrong.
In fact the BBC article says bookmakers were warned of the integrity of 'novelty' bets last year, so why exactly did they not heed this warning? Both should be slapped tbh.
