Who knows what would have happened if Gomez took the first pen, scored and the pressure was on Arteta, as soon as they sent Caldwell up I thought wtf. Made it a effectively no pressure start for Arsenal, took a calm penalty where couldn't go behind.
Rubbish needing penalties to beat Wigan, pathetic even. It's also Arsenal so 120 mins and leaving on AOC long after he was looking like suffering from cramp. Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple muscle strains appear between now and tuesday. West Ham game only a few days away is potentially going to be difficult with a tired team.

Plenty of bitter posts judging from the past page or two. I didn't manage to see the game, not particularly happy that we couldn't dispose of them before the game went to extra time and then penalties, but obviously pretty damn happy that we're actually in the final.

Great to watch, as proper edge of seat stuff for most of the second half. We weren't great but then we haven't been for the past month or so.
Result was all that matters so up your ###'s haters!

LOL same here, i was following it via the bbc website on my phone as i had a bday party to go to. But wow at the bitter ***** in here, funniest one is that Spuds supporter...tell me Spongebob what have you lot got to celebrate about?? you just managed to get a draw against a **** WBA FFS
...now that is funny. Anyhow kinda shocked that we managed to get to the final, from what i was reading we should have been a few goals up if it wasnt for San no goal not getting his radar right. Then to top it off BFG goes and makes a rash tackle leading to Wigan getting a penalty and going one up...only for BFG to correct his mistake and get us level lol.
Hated that it went to penalties but thank the lord for Flappy with 2 brilliant saves to get us to the final for the first time in a million yrs
. Hopefully by the time the final rolls around, we will have most of our main players back from injury.
Now to concentrate on the league, get that 4th place trophy and finish it off with the FA Cup as well. Hopefully todays win will give us that much needed shot in the arm to get our season back up and running.

I left work just after we won.
Pens were very cooly taken (no English players, no problems!)
They're allowed to celebrate, they're in a final which for pretty much the whole team is a new thing
It wasn't pretty but given recent results a win's a win
More players will be back from injury by the time the final rolls round
We don't win anything - laughing stock, we look like we might win something - laughing stock
Kallstrom has more goals than Sanogo lol
We have a relatively kind fixture list now, crack on plz
