The FA CUP Semi-Finals - 12/13 April 2014 *** Spoilers ***

It's a shame Clough didn't get appointed Blades manager sooner otherwise they'd be looking at promotion. Looking at them now their early season form is unfathomable.

Despite being born with an abnormally large head Bruce has done a fantastic job at Hull this season. They've barely been mentioned in the league which is some achievement for a promoted club most expected to go straight back down. Add this cup run and he has every right to be mentioned alongside the likes of Rodgers and Martinez for manager of the year imo.

What a ding donger of a game! It was an inevitable result if we are being honest, but I didn't expect the game to be like this. Credit to Sheff U, played a great game and didn't make it easy for us. Hopefully we can bring the cup back to Yorkshire for the sake of both sides.

Roll on the final, where there will be no embarrassment in losing now!

It's Arsenal, will take a miracle for them to not fluff it up.

I'm not even gutted. I can have no complaints with how we played. Brilliant effort from all the players, second half we just couldn't quite live with the increased intensity. We lost it in midfield by not being able to stop Huddlestone, but I'm really proud of how we played. Good luck Hull in the final!

I'm pleased for you guys because you can be really proud of the way your team played today. We need another great Yorkshire team higher up the leagues, be it Sheff Utd or dare I say it, Leeds Utd in the PL? It's been far too long.

Hull or Sheff Utd in Europe.. my god..

Actually, maybe not. Supposedly if Arsenal finish 5th in the League and won the Cup then 7th get the Europa spot.

Europa: If Arsenal win FA Cup and finish 4th it is then: 5th = Group stage, 6th = Play-off round. Hull = 3QR

3rd qualifying round. Basically your season starts nearly before the WC's finished.

edit: Iirc, Liverpool played it last season and I've got a feeling the game was at the end of July.
edit2: I've just checked and the first leg was on the 2nd August. Still 16 days before the season started.

Pretty much sums it up for me too. After all those Play-Off Finals and Semi-Finals without even a goal to cheer, watching a United team put in a performance like that at Wembley was just incredible.

There was a little bit of disappointment leaving the stadium, but more proud of the team really. If Clough stays, get your money on us for promotion next year.

So if Arsenal screw up both we could have to qualify to get in to the Europa group stage :(

What a great season that would be. Tomorrow's game is huge, Hull away will be interesting also. WE likely have a tired squad with a few players having cramp in the game on Saturday. If we lose tomorrow 4th will be potentially very difficult, can't see losing the last three games though you can never quite tell with a team facing relegation in the final game.

Clough will be there, he doesn't leave jobs easily. And I think he realises he can take us very far.
