The FA CUP Semi-Finals - 12/13 April 2014 *** Spoilers ***

They actually want to play. It's been pretty hard to watch the last two seasons, every single player seemed completely disinterested. It was quite demoralising to watch as a fan week in week out :(. I didn't think Clough could do such a good job but I gladly stand corrected.

The difference Clough has made is astounding really, the change in players like Murphy and Flynn is incredible and it's a pleasure rather than a chore going to matches now.

That said I think tomorrow may be a step too far for us, Hull will be up for this in a way that Villa and Fulham weren't. Hope I'm wrong, a cup final would be fantastic!

The Blades did us a massive favour on Tuesday, so hoping they get the win. Not too bothered about Arsenal and Wigan, would be nice for Uwe to get the result, but also I'd be in favour of the faux-Arsenal fans I have to put up with complaining about a lack of success despite making it into the CL every year...

It's the other way around I think. We say we have done well to constantly gt in CL and rival fans throw it in our faces we havent won anything for 9 years. :p

We have very little else to play for again other than forth so that's life as a gooner :D

Cup and forth place would be nice considering how the last month went.

I'm dreading this game to be honest. If we win, everyone will say, well you were playing a championship side and if we lose, all hell will break lose :(

I mean, how the hell have we gone from being right in the mix for the league (although I knew we'd fall away) and now being worried about playing championship side in the FA cup semis and in a big fight for 4th place?! Only at Arsenal :o

Have you still got that nagging feeling that you might not go up yet mate even though even Brentford shouldn't be able to blow it from here? ;)

Of course, but we only need 5 points from 5 games, so even we'd struggle to mess it up. Hoping for either promotin at Colchester, or leapfrogging Wolves, as it's my 30th and we'll be taking 3,000 away that day.

After we have played all the top 6 recently, there is definitely a big gap between Wolves/Brentford and the rest of them. Wolves were a different class to everyone else though, we played decent and still got tore a new one.

Thought we should have got the points last week against your lot, but no real complaints... Other than the ghost penalty. Clough has done an excellent job, and fully expect you guys to go up automatically next season. Strangely, I was at your Play Off defeat against Huddersfield a couple of seasons back and felt about sorry for you guys after Simonsen managed to almost hit me with his penalty kick... And I was in the second tier!

Also, the 2-2 draw at the Lane was my favourite away game last season :) good luck this weekend.

I wonder how Everton will effect the game, how demoralised will the team feel if they find out Everton smashed Sunderland and have taken the lead in the race for fourth. Can this team focus and put on a performance or will it distract them and let the pressure get to them.

Of all teams I would say Arsenal have a significantly higher chance of fluffing a game like this than most teams. All teams are capable of losing to weaker opposition but Arsenal make it easier by being tactically naive, mistake prone and exceptionally predictable thanks to the manager.

Arsenal should win, i'd put it 60/40 on arsenal winning, but I wouldn't be surprised if we failed to turn up and lost. City losing to Wigan was a huge surprised, but us losing wouldn't be. Though I think it's maybe more Arsenal's style to win huge today then fluff the final.

I head down tomorrow. Really glad I got monday off now. Nervous as hell, but really starting to feel up for it. My main worry is how many more games we've played than Hull (something like 51 to 40 or something?).

Feel like we have nothing to lose though, never expected us to get this far and to pick ourselves up from relegation fears like we have to almost being in contention for playoffs is brilliant. A win would be amazing though after two disappointing wembley trips, a goal in open play would be amazing.

I really hope we can keep most of the loanees next season.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Monreal, Arteta, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Podolski, Sanogo

Subs: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Kallstrom, Akpom, Eisfeld, Giroud.

Wigan: Carson, Boyce, Ramis, Crainey; Perch, McArthur, Gomez, McEachran, Beausejour; McManaman, Fortune.

Subs: Al Habsi, Barnett, Caldwell, Maloney, Espinoza, Collison, Powell

That's fine apart from Sanogo. Giroud has been scoring in the FA cup and although Sanago looks like he has potential he hasn't scored in a normal game yet, let alone a semi-cup final at Wembley. Oh well, here's your chance...

We've played so significantly differently in each game we dropped Giroud for Sanogo, SOOOO much better. WE actually look like we have an idea what to do next when going forwards.

What I can't quite understand is dropping Giroud for Sanogo in the CL, in the FA cup against Everton and Liverpool, then gone back to Giroud for Swansea, City, Chelsea and Everton in the league, either losing or drawing all those games with GIroud playing.
