The FA CUP Semi-Finals 13/14 April *** Spoilers ***

Why does it have to be at Wembley anyway, isn't playing at Wembley supposed to be a kind of reward for teams that reach a final? A neutral venue a similar distance from both teams or a 2 legged semi-final would be better in my opinion.
Yeah, I don't disagree. I'm sure there's been talk of building a stadium in the Midlands to combat it. Not the worst idea.

Indeed, didn't look to funny at all

I'm sure all the Newcastle supporters cheered that goal :p

I was kind of hoping he would have a horrible game/get sent off/anything else bad rather than a goal :p

Not really that bothered though as Hadaira is OK and that's the main thing.

About the Milwall fans, they do seem to do this sort of stuff rather often, I hope the find the scummer in that picture and ban him for a long time.

Also, dire game :(

Hard to get trains back to Wigan because of the later kick off. Probably why a lot of fans didn't go, games shouldn't be played at Wembley should be played grounds like Old Trafford or Villa/Sheff Wednesday so it's even distance.

Millwall fans are scum, had to spoil it. Don't deserve to be there.

Just got back from the match, was interesting to be in the Millwall end for a non Millwall supporter. I was quite close to where the fighting broke out. My observations were:

A small fight broke out amongst 2 or 3 people, the stewards/police did nothing. Eventually the fight stopped and the people responsible moved to opposite ends of the block. Fans around them pointed at them for a minute or so but stopped when it became obvious the stewards weren't going to do anything.

One of the people involved in the first fight started another one and eventually a couple of police moved in. They stopped the fight then disappeared, as soon as they disappeared the fight restarted and again no one moved in and the fight escalated. Large sections of the crowd booed the fighters. We left at 85m because we got a bit worried, the fight had become a mass brawl by then and the police still hadnt moved back in.

I really question the wisdom of scheduling a match involving a team with this sort of fanbase so late in the day.

As an aside there was an awful lot of pot smoking going on in the stands that the stewards ignored, seemed to be part of a general apathy they had.

THe guy in the picture was, afaik, the girls dad, he wasn't kicking off, just angry about others choosing to fight around his kid. AT least I think it was him comforting her when I saw it on tv. A lot of people upset, the daft thing is, police are so tame about these things. Anyone on camera hitting a cop should get a jail sentence, simple as that.

ESPN showed one guy walking off with a police cap with a grin on his face that suggested he'd just enjoyed a good fight, though its perfectly possible he just saw a cops hat and thought it was hilarious to nick it, you got the impression he was involved in the fighting.

With so many camera's I just don't understand why so many people get involved, thinking they won't get caught... then again, the police really don't do enough when they catch people. There were quite a lot of people with blood on their faces, but that doesn't necessarily mean those people were involved in the fighting, or doing anything other than pulling others away/trying to stop it, so I wouldn't brand everyone they show on camera who looks like they were involved as scummers.

When they showed the police in the tunnel and the guys fighting with them, those are the guys who really deserve to get punished.

I think it was on footie 365 they did an article, and Millwall as a club are one of the most active in terms of working with anti racism groups, trying to get involved in the community, but their reputation preceeds them and unfortunately that reputation attracts certain people to the club so till the reputation is gone, the club will always attract a certain type of person more than other clubs will. A huge shame for all the good fans who just wanted a good day out, and a club that appears to be trying pretty hard.

Wow if your observations were correct then that is shocking
