The FA CUP Sixth Round - 9/10 March *** Spoilers ***

LOL oh dear Everton were bloody poor, made Wigan look like EPL champions:p

3-0...dear good and Wigan are through to the semi finals of the FA Cup...its round about this time they make their yearly escape out of the relegation battle :/

"There's always next season" is a term I've used far too much considering I'm only 19.

It's worse when you are old enough to see have seen some of the great everton sides :(

I can't work out if Moyes has ruined another striker or Jelavic has just become a bit **** and it's no fault of moyes and his way of playing football.

Not too sure about that.

I think it's worse to have never seen a great Everton side.

Watching the second goal again and it's such a good ball from Neville. Why can't he do that for us?!

Walter Smith left in pretty much a similar situation, losing 3-0 to 'Boro in the FA Cup Quarter final...

Jelavic has zero confidence, perhaps worth playing Mirallas at striker.

Fellani was utter gash today, thought he even more than Neville should have been off after 30 mins basically. He barely made a pass, his movement was poor, his physicality was completely missing. Not long before he was sent off he gave the ball away inside the Everton box with tame and terrible 5 yard pass to no one, Wigan had a shot, ball went up the field, Fellani had it just inside their half and tried a throughball, way off target straight to the defender then complained to whoever was making the run.

Everton as a whole were pretty terrible today, Jelavic I've never rated as much more than a finisher, I'm sure there was some stat that said the vast majority of his goals were shots in the box with no other touch on the ball, IE he rarely does anything but tap in.

Thing is despite how bad Everton were, some of Wigan's counter attacking was fantastic football, and Maloney, such a shame he didn't score with that shot as it was freaking fantastic and he had a truly brilliant first half.

There is some real quality in that Wigan side, but no consistency and a few too many like Caldwell to be a great team. Maloney would make a good rotation/back up player at a better club, Kone looks pretty damn good, Figueroa is just a freaking beast, McCarthy looks pretty decent.
Beausejour though, utterly awful, 6 whole assists, coming against QPR, Southampton, Reading, Villa, West Ham and Reading again.... you couldn't pick 6 worse sides in the league to get an assist against, even against the worst teams he's usually utterly woeful, against better teams he hurts the team more than helps... no idea how he gets starts, I really don't have a single clue, dreadful player.

The thing which wound me up most about Fellaini was when he was caught coming back from offside... from Mucha kicking the ball up from inside the box!! Pathetic. He's meant to be playing in the space between their midfield and defenders instead he's either too high and heading it down to no one (because he should be there and Jelavic giving it to him), or he's in our own midfield leaving Jelavic up top on his own.

Yep it's very weird, there's a whole thing about Moyes ruining strikers and stuff, and as you say Jelavic is a 1 touch finisher give him in the box and he'll sort it out. Instead he's running out wide and into the channels receiving the ball trying to do it on his own, or crossing it in when there is no one there, where he himself should actually be! So either he's been told to do that by Moyes or Moyes has changed things which result in Jela not getting the support he needs.
