The FA CUP Sixth Round - 9/10 March *** Spoilers ***

Phil McNulty ‏@philmcnulty

Moyes said selection of Phil Neville ahead of Darron Gibson was purely that - nothing to do with Gibson's ongoing thigh problem.

hahahaha ****ing hell!

I do think Moyes has broke another striker, he seems very good at it.

I thought the performance was embarrassing overall tbh, first half was just dire, i think we would have struggled against league 1 teams playing like we did.

I suspect Moyes will announce fairly soon he's not signing a contract (not that he was anyway)

Tevez has put City 1-0 up. Not going to be a fairy tale FA Cup upset for Barnsley then.

The thing which wound me up most about Fellaini was when he was caught coming back from offside... from Mucha kicking the ball up from inside the box!! Pathetic. He's meant to be playing in the space between their midfield and defenders instead he's either too high and heading it down to no one (because he should be there and Jelavic giving it to him), or he's in our own midfield leaving Jelavic up top on his own.

Yep it's very weird, there's a whole thing about Moyes ruining strikers and stuff, and as you say Jelavic is a 1 touch finisher give him in the box and he'll sort it out. Instead he's running out wide and into the channels receiving the ball trying to do it on his own, or crossing it in when there is no one there, where he himself should actually be! So either he's been told to do that by Moyes or Moyes has changed things which result in Jela not getting the support he needs.

Agreed, I think we are starting to see Jelavic get the Johnson treatment where he started running all over the place isolated.

I said at the start of the season when everyone was going all gooey over Fellani he's good for 1 match in 5. Luckily for us and him this year he did it once against United. His price went up another 5-8 million and we can make out we are all sorry when he goes in the summer. Anyone that buys him thinking he's top 4 class or for european football is in for a shock in the same way Anderson would probably do very well for us. :)

Yeah he's played very well at times, but not as well as he did against United, in which he was immense and has largely lived off that performance for a lot of the season. He hasn't been consistently like that, far from it. Will be nice to get £30m from Chelsea for him in the summer though! But shhhh everyone still needs to think he's amazing constantly. Let's hope who ever the new manager is though gets a bit of the cash from his sale. :D

City now 2-0 up, Kolarov with the goal. Would be great to see them against either Chelsea / United in the semi-final and then either Wigan / Blackburn or Millwall can get to the final.

He's played more than any of the other City strikers this season. He's just been a bit crap, probably because he still wants to be anywhere other than Manchester

Bala, Aguero, Dzeko and Tevez have all looked bad this season. Difficult to point the blame on them or the way that Mancini plays nowadays.

Not looking forward to the game at all today.
I can't remember the last time there was such a big gap in the quality of performances both teams are capable of delivering.
Ricky Hatton will be out to prove his worth after getting benched v Madrid and will probably run riot plus RVP is due goals so I predict pain :(

It's the FA Cup, form means very little. Chelsea's attack is more than capable of giving us a licking.

Saying that like you said, RVP is massively due an inspired performance and Rooney & Kagawa are going to be raring to go after being overlooked midweek.

My team for Sunday;

---------------De Gea---------------
Rafael--Ferdinand--Evans--Evra
Nani---Carrick---Cleverley---Kagawa
---------------Rooney
-------------Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Smalling, Anderson, Young, Valencia, RVP, Welbeck

Such is the importance of getting over Tuesday night we cant afford to make too many changes even if Chelsea are pretty average these days. Would be a horrible end to the season if we lose Sunday :(

Wow I got the team right for once :D
