The FA CUP Third Round ** Spoilers ** [2nd - 6th January 2015]

I still can't believe that during the dress rehearsal of the draw for this round, it came out as Arsenal v Hull, then was repeated again in the real draw!

They ****, whine and moan for months to get Pardew sacked, that fair enough I can understand to an extent due to his record, but then what do they do next? Straight away turn on the players, chairman and temporary manager and boo them all. ******* morons who deserve what they get, nothing. Up to 4000 fans spend their time and money to travel to a game that Carver himself said was a priority and that he'll field a strong team knowing what this competition means to them. Yet he throws out a weakened side with 3 left-backs starting. Whether or not you think it was right or wrong they have every right to react the way they did. He's just as much to blame as Pardew for our record over the past 4 years anyway. Despite his refreshing honesty he's extremely naive and no where near good enough to be a manager of any football club. Also let's not forget he should have been immediately sacked in September after offering out our fans at Southampton.

Unfortunately Pardew having gone doesn't solve everything, and nobody expected it too. That's all up to Mike now. :o

EDIT: To be fair I thought the reaction was because they were gutted Pardew was gone and had he still been in charge we'd have beaten them. To me it always felt like the majority of Newcastle fans were ok with him being in charge forever. 'His hands are tied' etc

Nice bit of insight in to football there by Keown. Mertesacker should be winning every single header from corners because he's tall. Not sure why other teams haven't cottoned on to this, would surely get so many more goals if teams aimed for their tallest player :confused:

Absolute horse**** there. Why else would we have been using a floated ball to Williamson's head for the past 4 years?! Works a charm everytime.

If that is actually true (Ive seen LvG say that also), the next few weeks will be very interesting with Shaw, Rafael, Valencia and Young all injured :eek:

Southampton up next and WHU in a few weeks time especially (with a defence that's already questionable)
 
Sanchez was lucky not to get a yellow there, very clumsy.

You get the feeling that if Arsenal don't score a second then the last 10-15mins is going to be really interesting.
