The face of computer gaming.

Well I was nearly 46 when my clan at the time was getting somewhere on the TWL leagues. I have always been a bit of an insomniac so after the kids have gone to bed the computer goes on.

Anyone remember this?

You can have my joystick when you prise it from my cold dead fingers.

:p

Playing like that must take some ultimate skills with a joystick. :D

As much as I find the whole "OMG FF7 *insert nintendo 64 kid reaction*" It's representative of a lot of JRPGs, and to have a mess about on a friend's game save, is in my opinion, akin to opening a good novel at random and just coming across a section where nothing much is happening.

You'd have to play from the beginning to truly appreciate the game.

That's probably a fair comment but I can't claim it to be a genre that particularly appeals in the first place so I'm unlikely to get much beyond that point. I'll try not to hold that against it though since it isn't a full and fair representation of the game.

Does this look like rock paper scissors? Those things are micromanaged.

yes it is rockpaper scissors.

you should have had a big sheet along with your manual with these triangles/diamonds drawn on them showing the unit relationships.

With the latter example, I think it's pretty odd that somebody can be bothered to invest such a large amount of time in something so isolated and unproductive.

Whats wrong with isolation? Its very useful for recharging the batterys and getting away from the numtys. That for some reason have to spend their whole day/life avoiding isolation or should I say chasing attention. A lot of people like and need some time by themselfs or they would go mad.

Its never unproductive if you enjoy it.

Am 35 and if people don't like me talking about games or it goes over their heads. I will bore them to death with one of my other interests or even worse... politics. :)

I do actually feel like a bit of a nerd when it comes up in conversation that i often game in my spare time, and have online friends (which i do, and value greatly). But i don't consider myself a nerd at all, and have a great social life. I find people who don't game just go straight to the conclusion that gamers have no life and rarely leave the house. Maybe its that stereotype that makes me feel uncomfortable when talking about it.

I'm 17 by the way.
