The failings of Facebook search...

So I've been chatting to this girl a bit, and, for whatever reasons, I have no idea what her name is... In all honesty it is probably because I always refer to her as miss Canada, due to her being Canadian... And a miss.

Anyway, I tried to find her on Facebook, but its bloody useless for finding people if you don't really know any of the search criteria that facebook offers.... I mean, OK, I probably should have asked her name, especially when she started giving me bored looks when I referred to her as Miss Canada! for the 48th time, but, as many of my friends would tell you, I'm a bit of a pillock sometimes (I disagree, I think I'm a genius, but there you go).

Anyway, yeah.. I don't think you can search by hobbies, hair colour and style, favourite musicians etc... which is a bit annoying... I suppose I'll just have to tell her I have no Idea what she is called and hope she doesn't shoot me (women do that occasionally you know)

Sounds like the perfect start to being sectioned later on in life.

Introduce a friend to her, or perhaps more significantly, find a friend to bring along for her to introduce herself to. Then you find out her name... (if you didn't think of this, you are quite clearly not a genius... and I am inclined to agree with your friends)

In all fairness though I met this cool bird a a festival this weekend called ruth, and the only other thing I know about her is she is a massive spurs fan. I can't even see a list of people who like spurs let along search through them.

I didn't mean like that. We've been speaking for quite a time... wouldn't you be a bit ****ed/annoyed if someone you've been speaking to for a couple of months, relatively regularly turned out to not know your name?

Also, the bored looks are just for the nickname I assure you. she comes to me, not the other way round.

You guys have got less forgiving, and more judgemental as the time has gone by...

Nah, we live in the same town. She is Canadian, but lives in the UK (Wales).

She comes to my place of work to chat. It started when I was with my ex, so that's probably the real reason I don't know her name, I didn't really notice other girls at the time.

Also, what's with all the hate... seriously, It's not like I asked your opinions on the best way to go about genocide or anything... Dear Lord.

I just thought you might like to know of one of the many potentially awkward situations in my life, caused in part by possible stupidity on my part, which has failed to be solved by the stupid search limitations on Facebook....
