////The Fake Silent Hill: Homecoming Thread\\\\

PS3 version is region free so you can import that now from all the usual suspects who sell US Bluray/DVD's. Cheapest I have seen it is £31.99 but think I will wait 6 weeks for the PC version anyway as the gfx are much better.

Nice thread title ;)

I've never played a Silent Hill game, I'll wait and see what people think of this one first.

I have the Silent Hill collection. Want to borrow them?
Sadly, for the collection, Silent Hill 1 isn't there, but 2 is great anyway.

I was quite apprehensive about this game, i'll wait for a few more reviews before I decide. Might just rent it.

Apparently its really heavy on combat this time, which will make it less tense I feel.

Yeah I like the look of that Siren, but I have heard mixed reviews on that... and the fact its download only puts me off, but if its being released in BD then maybe... what's it like Edz?
TBH it's a bit of a mixed bag, some chapters are fairly boring but then others are excellent and keep you on the edge of your seat. So far I'm up to chapter 6? and for the most part enjoying it.

For £20 odd imo it's well worth the money, especially with some of the garbage available for double that price....

27th February 2009, WTF!

Typical dodgy Jap developers, delay an already released game to the UK!

Anybody still interested in this game? Its getting closer, but I have kinda lost interest now cos the HUGE delay... still don;t know the reason for the 9+ month delay from the US release?

I'm sure I'll still bag a copy, but not as excited as I was... not with F.E.A.R 2 coming out around the same time, that I am excited about.

Well I am interested in this.. I would have bought it back when it was released in the states but it was put back in the UK and i couldnt be bothered to order from the states on the PS3... So i wonder if it was jsut put back because of pants reviews and to ride on the coat tails of RE5 or i wonder if they have changed anything to make it a better game to compete with RE5... Well my money , sadly, is on the first notion.. may buy it in a couple of months when its on £19.99 special at online stores..

27th February 2009, WTF!

Typical dodgy American developers, delay an already released game to the UK!

Fixed, also, the handing over of silent hill to the americans is what marked its downturn imo. When the Japanese were developing it it was just so much better.

Think I'll rent this to rinse the achievements out of it. Not really that excited for it, as others have mentioned, because of the delay. At least it gives us something to keep us going through the leaner months though I suppose.

Although originally I thought graphically this game was poor... well it kinda is textures wise, as they are low res, but the grphics and feel of the game are great, very spooky! It reminds me of Silent Hill 1 a lot, which is definitely a good thing, cos I have fond memories of that game.

Really enjoying this game so far, well worth a purchase if you are a survival horror fan!

Now back to a deserted hopsital with mysterious baby cries in the distance... eerie!
