The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Oh, and the surprise at the end suggests there will be a fourth ;)

I want there to be a fourth because I know it'll be just as good as the first but a lot of movies stop at 3 sometimes even 2. I was thinking maybe because its a car movie franchise and that there arent many car movies around that they might try for a 4th for the money. But who knows.

Yep, they were mainly 350Z's in the film, the orange car was a Veilside Fortune RX7, and the car that got smashed up in the first race was a Nissan Silvia S15.

Saw this last night, have to admit I enjoyed it a fair bit. The dialogue was still corny and there was some shoddy acting but I did enjoy the movie overall. The main guy smiling almost annoys me as much as when Tom Welling does it in Smallville though :p

Good ending as well although after reading about it on here I was expecting it.

Saw this film yesterday, quite a good film, but only if your into the car modding scene. Some of the cars were just... IMO, if they make a fourth, they should just stick to the street racing, because focusing on drifting got a bit boring. Also, it was good to see Vin Diesel back :p

i really want to see this...i loved the first 2...but then i like modded cars driving fast. and the cheesy dialogue just adds to it :D

Argh you spoilers!!! You should have said spoiler or changed the colour cause some people havent seen it.

Saw this today, thankfully I work at the cinema so didn't have to pay... I thought this film was just completely random and I spent most of the time laughing at it...
However, as has been said already, the cars looked pretty damn good! And I liked all the fast racey drifting bits! Stuff like that always grabs my attention!
It was like I was watching some Burnout races, with some sort of strange storyline tacked on. Whenever they ran out of stuff to do <insert arty Tokyo shot> :D
Does nobody else think the main guy looks like Paul Walker aswell? Fake Paul Walker, love it!

I really liked the DJ Shadow mix right at the start, had never heard that before and it was pretty awesome.

If you liked the first 2 then it's pretty much a given that you'll like Tokyo Drift, if you hated the first 2 then it's just not for you. :D

All the way down the thread it seems everyone else was able to contain themselves, but you just couldn't could you?

Didn't care much for the first two, found this oddly enjoyable. I've always rated Lucas Black (Friday Night Lights, Jarhead - who said unknown?) and I'm sure all the mini skirts helped ;)

I didn't pay for it (cinema card) but wouldn't have minded too much if I did. It's hardly a classic, but for a bit of fun you could do a lot worse :)

edit/ as for the big omg spoiler, the old bugger looked about 60 :D

Can i just say, i thankfully saw the film before looking in this thread due to the spoiler near the end!!

Surely either the title or this thread needs edited to give others warning?

Well ive only been reading this thread for 2 minutes, but its become pretty obvious what happens at the end, so i reckon i might just not bother watching this one and wait for the next one :p

We went to see it on Saturday after watching the D1 GB drifters at Silverstone. Went to see it with the intensions of laughing and making fun where appropriate due to how bad the 2nd was... however, like many have said it was suprisingly enjoyable. Worth a watch imo.

Despite my love of drifting I just can't bring myself to watch it.
I'm still haunted by the sheer embarassment I felt within twenty minutes of watching the first F&TF movie, even though I was watching alone.

Well, just got back from seeing it, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

I'll get the bad points out of the way first: the 'plot' was non existant, the script was really cheesy, and the actors were complete unknowns.

However, the cars were stunning, and there were lots of lovely ladies to look at :D

Now for the actual drifting:

Yes, there were some dodgy special effects and bull****, but for the most part the drifting was obviously real, and pretty damn impressive. One part I particularly liked was a scene where 5 or 6 cars were drifting late at night on the mountain Touge, and it was great (ignoring the crap in-car dialogue), with hardly any crap effects, for the most part just real drifting, it reminded me of Initial D.

The CGI was no way near as bad as in the second film either.

At the end of the day I don't know why people go to see these films expecting a plot and some decent acting and actors. That's not going to happen. Just take your brain out, and watch some awesome cars doing some nice drifting.

Bow Wow's VW Touran is the Gayest thing I have ever seen though

Oh, and the surprise at the end suggests there will be a fourth ;)

Sums it up for me pretty much. Really enjoyed it. I even had a smile on my face afterwards :D
