The first PC game you played.

Well my first pc was an amstrad 5286

And it came with 3 games links (golf game) f15 strike eagle 2 and prince of persia

The flight sim was ok but i bought eye of the beholder 2 and wasted many hours on that.

I remember when I first heard the intro to that game on my ST I couldn't believe my ears. Up untill that point the most I'd heard from a game was various levels of beep on a BBC model B. Game was awesome for the time too.

I remember being amazed by Starglider, they had it on that TV show on ITV on saturday mornings with Adrian Mole and Gaz Top.

It wasn't even the first game I played on my Wang (Fnar, Fnar).

Erm, no, in answer to your question, it was not.

But in fairness you did ask "Do I win a prize for the oldest game" and not "Do I win a prize as the person who's first gaming experience on the PC was on a game which is chronologically the oldest".

I should have realised what you meant, considering the thread title, so my apologies for that. :)

Actually, I think the first game I ever played was a Lemonade Stall type game on a Commodore Pet, which one of my classmates fathers brought in to wow the class. That would have been about 1978/1979.
 
I'm not sure but I think it was Command and Conquer or Hi-Octane. That was on the PC, before that I had an Acorn.
 
It may have been the original prince of persia on pc, I remember playing that at a friends house in the late 80s. Also Police/Hero Quest

Non-pc gaming, before POP, I played double dragon and golden axe on a cousins amiga.

In the mid 80s I had an amstrad cpc 464; I really cant recall what games I played on that, feels so long ago now. Codemasters Dizzy series, Paperboy for sure.

On the Spectrum, think it was Centipede or Atic Atac.

PC-wise, think it was some elite knock-off on a 386. I also recall playing a game on dosshell where you were gorillas and had to throw bananas at each other, that game was awesome :)
